Good day everyone, I am delighted to be a part of this platform. This is my first time writing in the @splinterlands community, and I am excited and eager to share my experience with you all on my first win. The joy I felt after winning the battle despites two failed attempts was out of this world. I think I’m beginning to understand how the game works little by little.
ARCHON
I decided to go with an incessant sage archon. My mana cap was 53 and my instincts just told me to go for it and I did. Turns out, it was the best decision I made. My units were almost similar and matching to my opponent’s unit with just a slight difference. Making it perfect for the battle. Plus, I particularly love the added armour the incessant sage archon gives to all my other units. I love going for units with high armour power, I think that was my choosing factor for the incessant sage archon.

I proceeded to choose and position my units. This was the crucial part of it all. I knew very well that the kind of units I picked and how I strategically positioned them would determine If I lose or win. So I carefully analyzed each unit displayed before me while taking into consideration the timer on the top corner of the screen. The timer made everything more real and intense. I had to apply a little bit of speed and precision.
First Position
For the first unit, I went for the Twice Yester Knight. This was a melee unit with an armour power of 3, a health power of 4 and a speed of 2. It also has an attack of 2, making it very efficient and reliable. I chose this unit because I needed my first card to have a high armour power so it wouldn't be easily eradicated.

Second Position
Then I went on ahead to pick my second unit. For this unit, I choose the Sherringham Logger. It has an armour power of 1, a speed of 2 and a health power of 4. It also has an attack of 2. In this battle, I've come to discover that speed is as important as anything. But the most special thing about this unit would be its special ability to launch a sneak attack on the enemy units in the last position.

Third Position
For my third unit I chose the Great Bear Druid. Although it doesn't have any armour power, it has a health power of 6 and a speed of 2. But the most special thing about this unit is its magic. It's able to attack any of the enemy units, giving great damage to it. Choosing a good number of magic units is one of the tricks I usually use in ensuring a good win.

Fourth Position
Now, unto my fourth unit. Lady Amara is also a magic unit, having a health power of six ensures a higher chance of her survivability and a speed power of 1. Although there is no armour power, being a magic unit makes it all the more sweeter.

Fifth Position
For my fifth unit, I picked Hungry Unlund. It's a ranger unit with an armour power of 1 a health power of 3 and a speed of 1.

Sixth Position
And for the last position I chose to put New Beluroc Aegis. Now this might seem a little off but that is how I love strategizing my battle. I put one melee unit at the front and one at the back. Its armour power of 3 and health power of 5 ensures higher chance of survivability. And while my enemy units are too busy attacking the twice yester Knight and New Beluroc Aegis, my magic and ranger units launch calculated attacks on the enemy's units, and successfully kill them.

BATTLE GROUND
The battle was tough, my opponents cards were almost the same as mine. But I had an upper hand with my two magic units.

Victory was sweet, by the time my opponents units were down to two, I still had all my units standing strong and firm.
