Battle Mage Secrets: RULESET Stampede

Hello Hive

It's been a great week and one that requires a whole lot of patience. I must confess, I never did think that a particular ruleset could take me three days of constant battle before getting to battle with it. The stampede ruleset which was chosen as the theme for this week's battle mage secrets has really been a tough one but at last, it appeared today and I enjoyed a wonderful battle with it. As a player of this wonderful game, I will share with you all here my strategies and my thought about the given ruleset. Before I proceed further, here is the link to the announcement post for all who wishes to participate

Stampede's Ruleset Strategy Alignment to Lineup

Explaining according to the spl in-game words, The stampede ruleset simply means that the the trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled monster is killed.

This ruleset is of great advantage to monsters with the trample ability as they don't get to attacking as long their targets gets eliminated per attack. Trample isn't for all monster and attack type. When it comes to this ability, only melee monsters enjoys the benefits as other monster types don't trample to the next monster when their target gets eliminated. The stampede ruleset is represented by the image above.

Every thought of winning a battle requires a very strategic plan which is the main reason why battle strategies must be chosen in accordance of the given ruleset. Stampede is a melee think which is why melee monsters are favorably the best for this ruleset especially melees with the trample ability.

The first one could possible think of is how to get their lineup possess the trample ability and in this presented battle that was achieved as part of the stats of the summoner.


POSSIBILUS THE WISE

The summoner POSSIBILUS THE WISE have the following stats: It offers +2 health to all friendly monster, It gives the team the trample ability and lastly, it gives the team a reach ability. Now, While every friendly monsters benefits from the increase in their health, the other two stats only favors the melee class of monsters. This is why in the strategy melee monsters was made the majority. There are other little contributions that spiced up the battle strategy and led to a successful battle. Having selected a summoner in line with the given ruleset, it is also important to select monsters that best put the stats from the summoner in use. This led to the thought of defender to be used.


CRUEL SETHROPOD

A defending should be able to stand the test of time and in a battle with higher mana cap this monster will certainly not be used as a defender but for this battle it fit in very well. Cruel Sethropod being a melee monster enjoys the full benefit of the summoner's stat. Its health was taken to seven with four protective shield. The armor was the major reason while it was used in the fore front but there comes the monster with the real deal


COASTAL SENTRY

What is better than a monster that can take off up to ten health from its target? Its unimaginable having such amazing damage number and at the same time having the reach and trample ability. Sentry which is a double strike monster played the role of the major eliminator in the strategy. It's only few monsters that can survive having ten health taken away from them at a spot. A strategy needs a form captain and Sentry played the role very well but it couldn't have been done all alone by her.


NOA THE JUST

Another part of the strategy seek to expose the enemies to attack and to achieve that, Noa The Just came on board. It has become a normal thing to protect the teams with armors and when this is done it becomes difficult for monsters like the melees but with the help of monsters like the Noa that difficulty can be undone. Noa The Just with rust ability is capable of taking down two armors from each of the enemy's monsters. This was used to make the enemy vulnerable to attack. A crucial part of the stratety.


RIVER HELLONDALE

Inasmuch melee monsters were said to be favorite for stampede battle, a monster that isn't of melee class but possesses a supporting factor to melee monster can also be used. This monster falls in the category of such monsters. Although its a magic attack monster, it has the inspire ability which gives +1 melee damage to all melee teammate and at the same time has the resurrect ability which is used to resurrecting the first teammate that falls in the battlefield.


PELACOR BANDIT

Pelacor Bandit did something different from other teammates. While the others focused on eliminating enemies from the front, this monster did its own from the back and this is because of its sneak ability. It ability made sure the team covers attack on every part of the enemy's team.


HARDY STONEFISH

Stonefish merely completed the team and would have as a delaying agent to enemy's sneak monster had they had one. Stonefish is also capable of attacking when it gets to an enabling position.
