Land Cards: Adding more value to the Land.
Splinterland's in their recent post, talked about the Inaugural Land Card Edition in which land cards are introduced. At current, these land cards are strictly for the land and by the land. With the Introduction of the Land card, further utility to the land is added.
I feel before I deep dive into the Land cards, I should give a brief about land too.
What is Land.
In June 2021, Splinterland's team sold the 150,000 plots in 150 Region, where each region has 1000 plots. Land sale was at that time was super successful as first wave of plots were sold within a minute and as far my memory serves me right, it also caused site to crash or many players unable to login. So overall it was super successful sale but on the same note, Land is a limited resource and plots are limited to 150K only.
Splinterland's took time and created roadmap for it. Current roadmap is of land 1.5 and we are progressing towards Land 2.0. At current Land is used to produce Grain, Wood, Iron, Stone, Midnight potion , and Aura etc. The latest addition is the Land Cards.
There are 4 cards can be crafted , one of each type that is Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary, Below are the sneak peak of these cards.

So with this crafting cost, it look a good chunk of resources are needed in coming days to craft these amazing cards.
My planning for these cards.
As we already seen , that these cards will consume considerable amount of the resource. I have one plot that I have never built, so these cards inspired me to construct the building on it and produce the required resource.
I have already one plot producing grain, but in this plot I do not have any power core or runi or nor I have ever constructed any building. So it is empty plot.
I have purchased power core for 5000 DEC so that I can start building in this plot and produce resources. Producing resources help me not is crafting cards but also, it will help me to gain some DEC if in case I start to trade the resources for the DEC. One of things observed that after announcement of Land cards. grain cost per DEC is also increased. So it clear that players are definitely saving and looking for crafting these cards.
I have already started doing construction, but construction will require some 6+ days , before I can start producing resource from the land. Once I start producing resource, I can trade them for DEC and from that DEC I can purchase the other resources.
There is one more resource i.e "Cinder" is required to create these cards. Cinder is obtained by burning cards can be burned for DEC. This change also look to reduce the supply of the cards too in the long ryn.
There is interestingly, going to add more utility to land and in future it might pave way to craft the future cards that can be used in the conflicts and ranked battles.
