Time flies! Just completed the 47th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!
- Fun In The Discord Chats
Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.
- Staying In Bronze Fray
For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.
Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.
- We Got 2nd!
So for the final result, we got 2nd out of 10 guilds and got 808 Merits and around 16 SPS! Good that we maintained our consistency of podium finishes!
Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 4 of them. Back to winning ways this time! Finished 4th in the guild.
Let's jump into the battles!
Battle 1 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: None
A tricky battle modifier with Earthquake and no Magic cards, which rules out the important Regal Peryton. I had a card time deciding between Earth and Death lineups because both had decent Flying Melee cards. In the end, time was running out and I just threw in as many Flying cards I could find. Ultimately, it was Nectar Queen's 4 Melee damage that carried the team against what looked like a max Bronze lineup from the opponent. Scrappy win in this but it was a positive outcome.

Battle 2 - LOSE
Gladius Card Used: None
Sea Monster was one of the best cards for low mana battles outside of brawls but it still wasn't able to overcome the card that "everyone probably already knew". Took this loss as I was out of depth here.

Battle 3 - WIN
Opponent fled. Hehe!
Battle 4 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell
Sola Ranjell continued her winning streak and maintained her 100% win record. What a difference it makes when one has a Legendary Gladius card! Hehe! General Sloan had to be the MVP this battle for boosting the Ranged attacks and it was a comfortable win in this one.

Battle 5 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver
Was back to my familiar Water lineups but this battle surprisingly dragged to 11 rounds! Sea Monster's self healing ability was crucial to overcome the Earthquake damage and it was enough to overcome the opposing team with Djinn Oshannus and a Gladius card. A slight scare towards the end but like I mentioned, Sea Monster is one of the strongest cards in 1v1 situations.
MVP: Sea Monster
So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! A 80% win rate with the only "inevitable" loss against Quora Towershead. Happy that I won the rest without making any blunders in my card selections.
Review Of Gladius Cards
Since I am able to use Gladius cards now, I thought I should review selected cards that helped me win in the brawls. Congratulations to Sola Ranjell for getting two battle wins in the earlier brawls! Of course, please let me know if you have any tips in using these cards too as I am keen to learn and improve too!
CARD: SOLA RANJELL
ELEMENT: LIFE
RARITY: LEGENDARY
ABILITY: TANK HEAL, BLOODLUST
Sola Ranjell is definitely a Legendary card with such stats and abilities. Being a Life card, it definitely pairs very well with Life healers like Venari Crystalsmith. I like that it is a Magic card which means it can attack from the first position during the course of the battle, unlike Ranged cards, where all the Bloodlust accumulation is "wasted" when they become the tank. The only downside is at 1 Magic damage, it is quite unlikely that she will deal the last blow so Bloodlust might be hard to come by.

Yeah, Quora is a huge boost in brawls. If I look back at my battles, I probably use it in nearly half of mine now and certainly any time I'm battling with Earth splinter.
