OCTOPIDER LORE
You may be thinking, “A spider already has eight legs… Why Octopider?” For one thing, the Octopider is much larger than a spider, closer to the size of an octopus. It’s legs, although they can scurry like a spider, are actually the tentacles of an octopus. In fact, this monstrosity has nearly all the most terrifying features of both spiders and octopi. The Octopider can move easily in water or on land. Whenever threatened, the Octopider disappears into an inky, venomous cloud. They say the Octopider was a grotesque creation of the Gorlodon, a famed monstrous dark sorcerer of the deep water. Lore taken from official Splinterlands site.
OCTOPIDER ABILITIES
- Demoralize Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Monsters. This ability is attained at Level 3.
- Blind All enemy Melee & Ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target. This ability is attained at Level 7

Nooooo, I was Defeated! With the Splinterland game growing in popularity and players getting better by the day getting defeated in Splinterland battles has become more of a common occurrence then it once was. No worries my Monsters moral is still high and they are already back in action waiting for their revenge.
The Octopider requires allot of MANA for use so its best used in high MANA matches. I toss it in my line up whenever possible. Its high damage count (Five when maxed) added with its two abilites make it a tough Monster to beat.
Octopider is one of my favorite Death cards within the Rewards collection. I have been patiently collecting and combining every Octopider I come across and am on my way to having a MAXED Octopider card (Just eleven more until I have a maxed one).

BEER.The legendary summoners do make or break a battle it seems, even in the lower leagues a level Yodin Zaku is an automatic winner.
You're right, Its hard to beat the Legendaries.
Yodin is a strong summoner his blast and range buffs have destroyed my battle lines many times.
Also your Octopider made it to the front line , this happens and it is usually game over, as you lose his heavy range attack.
