Let's comment on the initial proposal that the team tried to pass; Understand how the event is going so far, how much has been sold; Analyze the Bonus Points mechanism that was used and much more...

I'll be much appreaciated if you Upvote, Reblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

Initial Proposal - Halving Event

The initial idea that was proposed to the community was for the DAO to pay the Splinterlands team 200k in USDC or USDT stablecoin to hold the Event, and they would burn all the tokens that were used, improving the overall economy of the game.

In the proposal, all DEC used for the purchase would be burned, which would greatly help to return the token to its parity with the dollar as it would remove a large part of DEC from circulation. According to the law of supply and demand, the lower the supply of something, the higher its price.

As the proposal did not go through the DAO, the team followed the original plan that sales of promo cards are a way to raise revenue for the company and decided to hold the event without DAO funds. The question that remains is has it been worth it for the company so far?

If we consider the values used in the sale to be as low as possible, then everything would have been purchased only in DEC, as it is $0.88, then we can consider that the minimum sales limit was $171k, that is, very close already at the $200k predicted by the Splinterlands team. We still have a few days of sales, but I don't believe this value will go much higher than 200k, due to a mechanism that was implemented that encourages purchases in the first few days. We will comment more about it below.

As the sale is being made directly by the team, the DEC that are used to buy the promo cards are then used in the Credit mechanism, where when a user uses credit the company keeps the money and uses the deck instead to buy the cards. items. This is net neutral for the Splinterlands ecosystem, because it neither helps nor harms anything.

In this way, the game failed to achieve a net positive for this entire story, the DEC could have returned to the PEG, but the DAO preferred not to risk it, and the values would have returned to the game's economy and helped the financial health of the game by returning the DEC to 1$ for every 1000 DEC.

Early Bonus Points | One of the points that contributed to the concentration of sales in the initial days was the point multiplier that was implemented in this Promo Sale.

The idea is simple and works as follows: The more time passes, the multiplier decreases. This means that those interested in the Promo Sale are led to buy immediately, because if they change their mind later they will receive fewer points. Thus, this psychological strategy invokes the fear of missing out and makes people buy in the first few days and this explains why the sale is like this.

Obrigado e boa leitura! 🍀

Proposta Inicial - Halving Event
