Splinterlands 🐉| Wild Pass & Increased Staked SPS Requeriments [EN/PT]

Let's talk about Splinterlands proposal 130, which was made by Yabapmatt, trying to understand what points it addresses and the changes it will cause in the nft game. The first change will be to the Staked SPS amount for Wild players, the second is about a pass that you will need to purchase to be able to play on Wild.

If you are curious to know more about this proposal, then check out the following post!

I'll be much appreaciated if you Upvote, Reblogs or give any Tips ( PIZZA 🍕, PGM 🎮, LOLZ 😆, ALIVE ❤️, etc ). Thanks and have good reading! 🍀

[ENGLISH VERSION]

Proposal 130 - Bot Farms & Wild Changes

Source: Splinterlands Proposals

Almost a month ago, Yabapmatt sent proposal number 130, about an alternative solution to dealing with bot farms and also the discrepancy between the Wild and Modern game modes. It went through the proposal phase and was approved with 86% against 14%, with a total of approximately 270k votes. The interesting thing is exactly that this proposal came from Matt and not from the company that takes care of the development of Splinterlands, I think it was to not mix his opinion and proposal with the company.

What led to Matt's proposal was, according to him, "the ability to earn rewards indefinitely and at scale without the need for additional investment in the ecosystem." This has been done for years by bot farms in Wild mode. This causes bots to end up draining the entire Wild pool, reducing rewards for returning players. Furthermore, the more bots in a game mode, the easier it is to move up the leagues, because they generally rent lower level cards, meaning they have a greater reward, whereas given the level of their cards this shouldn't happen. This way, with a lower reward for players, they end up going to Modern, which makes it even more difficult.

My question with this proposal is that this problem has been going on for a long time in Splinterlands, why is this only being addressed now? But as they say, better late than never, right...

Staked SPS Requirements Increased

[Source: IA Dall-E]

One of the points addressed in the proposal was a new approach with Bot Farms. A proposal had been made about using Collection Power, but Yabapmatt proposed changing it to Staked SPS. The reason he gave is that it would be easier to implement and would also bring value to the game's ecosystem as users would need SPS Token, the main Crypto of the Splinterlands game, creating a greater demand for $SPS.

Source: Splinterlands Docs

As a result, it is proposed that the SPS amount required to earn Reward Boosts be doubled for the Wild format. This was a change that has already been implemented and is already taking effect. This is interesting for the token, because it takes out of circulation overnight, theoretically, twice the SPS that was used in Staking on Wild so that users have the same reward. However, it causes the reward for those who already had X amount of SPS to gain Y reward to be drastically reduced and generates dissatisfaction with the game community.

We can use the table in the Splinterlands Docs as a basis to understand how much SPS will be needed to play Wild using the table in the Splinterlands Docs, taking into account that the numbers needed will be double what is in the table to have the same percentage.

Now thinking about players and not bots, is it fair for players who don't have modern cards to be penalized so much? What do you think? Leave it in the comments!

Wild Season Pass

Source: Splinterlands Docs

The change in the amount of Stake has DOUBLED and even so, it is not the only change that the Wild format will receive. According to the proposal and the recent update note, we will have a Wild Season Pass.

Starting with the next season of Splinterlands, participants in the Wild format will have to purchase a pass called the Wild Pass to play the Season. It is worth remembering that you will need to buy a new pass every season and its price is 2000 DEC or 40 Voucher tokens. These tokens will be burned, bringing this value to the game's economy.

Theoretically, this change will result in fewer accounts playing, especially those that are BOTs and rent cards, making a minimum profit, causing the reward to increase and helping to fund the pass.

Once again, thinking about the players and not the bots, have you ever considered that the player who believed in the game from the beginning and enjoys playing the game now needs to pay if he wants to play with your cards? This is a complicated issue, but every time they try to contain bots, they end up affecting old players of the game.

Obrigado e boa leitura! 🍀

[VERSÃO PORTUGUÊS]

Proposta 130 - Bot Farms & Wild Changes

Source: Splinterlands Proposals

Staked SPS Requeriments Increased

[Source: IA Dall-E]

Many changes and purchases come, but each time the players earn less and the admins earn more. My proposal is that they reset the game and put it back to how it was at the beginning, they don't realize that there are fewer players in the game because they hardly win anything anymore.

Everytime they try to minize bots earning they hit players too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

My solution to this, do not allow bots in the game, both in the rental that the prices are shit and the bots in the game, everyone who wants to play this game should do it manually

Maybe as @thranax said a big reset at the game, making it without bots could help.

LEO Power Up Day - June 15, 2024

By ending the bots they destroy the game's economy, I stayed in wilfd with rentals of many old cards that now I won't rent for the entire season.

This will cause the old cards to be less used because their use is being punished with this type of measures, their value will decrease and therefore the interest of the players in keeping them as a value for the future is killing the game as a value that your assets will appreciate over time and the rents of old cards will collapse and why buy more old packs that could make the value of these packs collapse by discouraging playing with these cards by torpedoing their use, I think they haven't thought it through very well.

It seems to me that they should implement one change at a time to see how it goes and then think about implementing another that could have catastrophic consequences, since many who play there do so by renting cards and sps, and that generates profits for the game since each sale generates something for the owners of the game, they must see if it is worth doing it with respect to the drop in that income with respect to the increase of others and perhaps if they put a very high pass they will have an even bigger problem of game fluids since Many will not want to enter there and since they do not have cards for the modern they will leave completely and in the end that will cause an even greater bleeding of players.

Old card are getting a big hit after this changes, but also Chaos Legion. The full max collection of Chaos went from $2,5k to $600, losing almost 5x times the value.

About the changes the rate they are doing it is too much and too fast. We are talking about this change, but there are actually 5 or 4 at the proposal phase. It's difficult to follow each and every proposal.

I think they are implementing changes very quickly without taking time to see the effects of the changes and how they affect the game's economy, see if implementing that change increases or decreases the value of the assets, if it increases, conserves or The number of players and game income decreases.

Because if it is implemented without testing the changes one by one, having the possibility of reversing that decision when seeing that it was very harmful, then the game can be loaded and many more lose interest.

💯Agree! In this case of proposal 130, they could change one thing, check what happens then do the other one...

That's what they should do, first a change and see the response of the system, of the users, maybe just doubling the SPS bet is enough to break the robots, because you already annoy those who play the game there. significantly reduce profits.

Yeah. Maybe rise it to the point they don't profit is enough and don't need to go all in with the changes doing both...

It's very web2ish i don't like it either, but let's see what happens... At least we'll know for later games.
