I've been playing Splinterlands for quite a while and have shared posts about some of my rewards before. On my first months, I spent so much time playing because I was really having fun. It's still fun now, as a matter of fact, it's much better these days. Maybe it's because I already have a clear idea of how the game works, I'm having more wins than losses now than I did before. LOL. I stopped playing for a while because I felt like my cards are so weak, I kept losing my battles.
Another reason I stopped playing is because I noticed I'm spending way too much time on the game. I am a full time mom, homeschooling a toddler while trying to earn on blogging and crocheting, while taking care of the entire family and the household. This means I only get to play on my freetime, which is after the little kid has gone to sleep. I played until the wee hours of the night. Being mom comes first, all other hobbies next.
A few months back, I started playing again but this time, I became more systematic. There has to be some sort of balance in my life, otherwise, something's gotta give. At first, I just make sure I finish my daily quest. Then, there was the tiers, when I'm just a few points missing to get to the next tier, I extend my playtime until I reach the target. It was all fun. Controlled, targetted fun, I guess. But then, I was not earning enough DEC, I couldn't buy what I want. That was a little bit sad. This is afterall a Play to Earn game. I discovered the world of selling cards.
I tried selling some of my cards. Those that doesn't make into my usual line up. I made quite a few sales. Looking back at those first sales I made now, I conclude that I should have just rented them out instead of selling them outright. What makes it worse is that I sold them according to the suggested price. LOL. I should have checked the card's value in the Market first. And that's not the dumbest thing I did when it comes to generating revenue through the cards.
I figured I should rent out the cards instead of selling them. Of course, I did not check the current renting value of the cards before I placed it for rent. Again, lost opportunity, I know. But I was on a learning curve (after months and months of playing, it's a slow learning curve,yes). Most of the time, I learn by asking around, but in this case, I wanted to experience it first hand. Experience, after all, is the best teacher.
Right now, I am in Silver III tier. I have cards for rent and some are delegated to friends who are still in the Bronze tier. I plan on rising up to the next tiers but with my homeschooling, crocheting, homesteading, and housekeeping tasks, I will have to make more time for grinding. And taking the time to look for cards that will help me achieve my new goals.

I am already enjoying playing the game right now, I'm pretty sure the updates will be more fun and more challenging. It is evolving. The player should also evolve (more of a note to self, actually).

Lol your babble is welcome, I think most of us have had our fair share of regrets in splinterlands, there should be a contest about the person with the highest regrets on splinterlands loool...good thing is that we are able to laugh about it, learn and move on, plus we are all still early and if we stick around those regrets won’t matter much in the long run.

Lol! Thank you. When I do blunders like that, I say Charge it to experience. It makes me feel a little bit better. Haha. Yes! That's a great contest idea. I'm sure I'll remember my not so bright decisions in buying, selling, and game tactics.

Yung duplicates ko eh for rental or delegation din.
nitry ko lang i-experience. Tapos nung natuwa ako, nawili naman. Namali ng benta nung isa. haha. Kainis. Ngayon, rentals na lang talaga ginagawa ko para tuloy tuloy lang. hahaha
