Today I wanted to do another card spotlight post because honestly I have been using this card alot recently and it keeps surprising me in battles. The card is called Abyssal Elemental and its a really fun Water unit to play with.
This card is an Epic Water unit and at max level (Level 6), it gets two very strong abilities that can completely change battles.
At first I didnt really pay much attention to this card because there are many strong Water cards already in #Splinterlands. But after seeing this card clutch multiple battles for me, I started liking it alot more.
The design of the card also looks super cool. It literally looks like a giant monster made from deep ocean water.

Mana Cost: 6 Mana
Attack Type: Magic Attack
Max Level Stats: 3 Magic Damage, 3 Speed, 3 Armor, 6 Health
Its stats are honestly pretty balanced. Not too tanky but not too weak either. The real strength of this card comes from the abilities.

Resurgence: Self-resurrects once per battle with 100% health and armor. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn. Deals 1 physical damage to all units.
This ability can completely change battles at the last moment. Imagine your opponent thinks they already wonโฆ then suddenly this card comes back to life with full stats lol.
I actually won a crazy battle recently because of this exact ability.
The extra damage to every unit is also very underrated. Sometimes enemy units are already low HP and this extra damage helps finish them off.
Especially in rulesets like Global Warming, Resurgence becomes even more scary.

Blast: Deals an additional 50% damage to units adjacent to the target.
This ability is sooo annoying for opponents because even if you attack one target, nearby enemies also get damaged.
This becomes super strong against tightly packed teams.
If Abyssal Elemental attacks weak backline units, Blast can destroy multiple enemies together.
I personally love combining Blast with magic damage because magic attacks ignore armor. So the splash damage can become really deadly.
Sometimes one attack damages like 3 units together.
What I like most about Abyssal Elemental is that it feels very unpredictable.
Your opponent might think they are winning, but then:
Resurgence activates
The card resurrects
Deals damage to everybody
Then Blast starts damaging multiple enemies
Suddenly the whole battle flips around.
I also think this card works really well in mid mana battles. 6 mana is not too expensive and not too cheap either.
It fits nicely into many Water teams.
Another thing I noticed is that many opponents forget about Resurgence. They think killing the card once is enough. Then BOOMโฆ it comes back again.

Overall I honestly think Abyssal Elemental is one of the most fun Water cards to use in #Splinterlands right now.
The combination of:
Magic damage
Blast
Resurgence
makes the card feel super chaotic and dangerous.
Its not just a normal damage dealer. It can literally create clutch comeback moments out of nowhere.
I will definitely keep using this card more in future battles because its honestly really entertaining watching opponents panic after it resurrects.

STOPI use it a lot in battles.The resurgence ability most times is a game changer, coming back after been killed with all stats intact is awesome. I am still grinding to see if I can rank up into Diamond 3 ๐ค.Do have a wonderful day, warrior.
