RE: Splinterlands Reward Shop is Coming

in Splinterlands • 2 months ago

I stopped playing Ranked (directly) when it became more of a chore for me instead of being fun.

🤣 I share the same feeling, particularly in the case of @kopiko-blanca's account.

Yeah, I don't have the issues of a small account and still didn't like that I was kind of forced to play daily, sometimes with long streaks of losses, which were quite frustrating.

In my case, it seems like a waste of time. It seems impossible to complete a DF that requires 50k plus points. I think I will be fortunate if I could finish this season even with 5 chests.

DF will be removed. Associated SPS rewards will be moved to the regular pool that pays SPS rewards on victory. That may increase SPS rewards for you.

And since you couldn't complete a DF before, without it, you would just play for victory and earn SPS rewards and Glint. And save Glint until you can get something useful from the shop.

Then, that's a great change. It made my life as a player easier.

Yes, I think it will be an improvement for players. We'll see if that will be positive or not from an investment standpoint. But normally, a happier player base will improve the investment side too, even if many things become soulbound in Splinterlands.

As long as they have battle utility, I have no problem with soulbound cards.

Yeah, that's how a player should think. But we are in web3 and are used to games that are more like defi. Maybe that's the new direction in web3 games, with less tradable rewards, to make the game economy sustainable.

I also like that going forward soulbound reward cards can be burned for Glint. At least they give some utility to duplicates.

What did the full glass say to the empty glass?
