In this session, we dive into the Briar Patch rule, highlighting a highly recommended unit and formation that I've found effective. My opponent, adhering to the Briar Patch theory of specializing in magic attacks, presented a formidable challenge with a rare and powerful summoner.
Practical Example:
GRUM FLAMEBLADE:
In the Briar Patch rule, where opponents are likely to use magic attacks, Grum's high resilience shines. Additionally, its self-enhancement activates upon defeating enemy units with its counterstrike against Melee, making it arguably the strongest unit under this rule.
RADIATED BRUTE:
This unit's attacks from the second row are incredibly powerful.
CHAOS AGENT:
Included as a numbers filler.
SCAVO HIRELING:
Plays a crucial role in restoring Grum's shield.
FLAME MONKEY:
Also contributes to Grum's shield restoration. Leveling up this card unlocks this ability.
By focusing on thoroughly supporting Grum, I was able to triumph over my opponent's strategically robust formation, which followed the conventional Briar Patch theory. Winning with such an intriguing formation, rather than a conventional one, is what I believe adds to the fun of Splinterlands. This time, I was aware of the Magic risk and accepted the vulnerability of my backline to Sneak attacks. Despite the tense moments, it was gratifying to secure the victory.

GRUM FLAMEBLADE
Briar Patchでは相手が魔法攻撃の可能性が高いので、耐久性の高いこのユニットが活躍します。またMeleeへの反撃で敵のユニットを撃破した場合にも、自己強化が発動するため今回のルールで最も強力と言ってよいユニットです。
RADIATED BRUTE
２列目からの攻撃は非常に強力です。
CHAOS AGENT
数合わせで入れています。
SCAVO HIRELING
GRUMのシールドを回復させます。
FLAME MONKEY
こちらもGRUMのシールドを回復させます。カードのレベルを上げることで、このスキルを習得します。
GRUMを徹底的にサポートすることで、相手のセオリー通りの強力な編成に勝利することができました。無難な編成ではなく、このような面白い編成で勝つことがSplinterlandsの楽しさだと思っています。今回はMagicを警戒していたため、完全にSneakなどで後衛がやられるリスクは許容したのですが、ハラハラしたものの勝利できてよかったです。
