Hello there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!
As per the writing of this post, we only have about a day before the season ends. There is not a single day that I have not played the game, though there are days that I played more games than others. At this point, I have played a total of 456 battles, by which I have 209 wins at a 45.83% win rate. It certainly is much lower than my usual win rate, but I am still within the top 25 players, and if I could just maintain my spot at the 23th place, I am guaranteed to have 150,000 as leaderboard rewards when the season ends tomorrow.
Still, anything can happen till the last day, and there was still a chance that I could drop further than 25th position, which would also lower the potential Glint rewards that I will get, especially with how close the other players are to my rating, and make it likely that they will surpass it or I just dropped when I lose some battles. Since that was the case, I will just observe the situation for now and see how other players will fare and only play when they get ahead of my rating. I also do not have much energy left right now and need some time to replenish it.
As usual, the reason why I care for Glint so much is that I still have some Rebellion rewards that are yet to be at max level. If we look through Splintercards, you can see that I only have 52% of the cards that I need to max out my legendary cards, which may not look that difficult to complete, but they are the cards with the highest rarity, not to mention, they are also the most expensive Rarity Draws to buy at the Glint Shop where each one cost 35,000 Glint.
The problem is, by October 21, the Rebellion rewards will no longer be available, as they will be replaced by Conclave Arcana rewards, which means that I only have about a week to complete my set, and it leads me to a tough decision on whether to burn my spare cards for Glint or keep them.
Excluding the soulbound cards that I have maxed out, as well as the highest level of the cards that I have yet to max, I have 43,208 CP of Rebellion reward cards that I can burn at a 25x rate, which can give me up to 1,080,200 Glint.
That was a decent amount of Glint and can help me level up my legendary rewards with some spare to buy the new rewards set. However, that also means that those cards will be forever gone from my account. You may ask how it will affect me when I already have mostly max copies of them, but while I do not necessarily use them, this cards plays an important role at the following:
For now, Survival Mode has been post for some major overhauls in their ranked system, but the core mechanics of the mode is that, cards that were defeated will undergone a cooldown period, meaning that the card serves as the energy to play the mode and the more copies of the card a player has, the more battles they can play and the more they can potentially go up in rating. So if I decided to burn my cards, the less will I be able to play Survival Mode.
One requirement on tournaments are the player's Collection power which is the value that is assigned for a card, and that includes soulbound cards. So if I burn my soulbound rewards, that also means that I will have less CP, and right now, I am already been unable to join some tournaments because I don't have enough CP and there might be more once I started burning my cards.
Closing
As of right now, I am still conflicted on whether to burn all my spare soulbound cards or at least keep some of the key cards that I need and whether I will burn the regular foil which has lower CP or the Gold Foil version which has higher CP, but can also give an additional 10% bonus when I win the battle. However, time is ticking and I will need to came up with an answer soon.
Do you also have the same tough decision to make?
That was all for this post. Thank you, and see you at the next one!
Other Post From Me
All the image that I used in this post belongs to Splinterlands.
If you find the game through my post and register through my Referral Link, just comment on any of my posts, and I will provide you with some cards and SPS delegations to help you get started in the game.
ya its a tough choice im prob gonna burn and buy the new cards probably
I already burned some.
i just burned all TT. now need to get 130k dec to max it out no more draws
I will be burning anything that I haven’t combined to the next level.. at least that’s today’s plan that will change 7 more times between now and next week!
Those extra CP's have greatly helped me when entering tournaments, so was still very reluctant to burn them.
