Description:
All units have the Fury ability.
Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury.
The Strategy
In the realm of Splinterlands, navigating the ferocious battlegrounds requires cunning strategies and calculated risks, especially in small mana battles where every move counts. Today, we delve into the depths of chaos, crafting a formidable lineup tailored for victory under the Ferocity ruleset, supplemented by Close Range and Fog of War rulesets. With only seventeen mana at our disposal and the Dragon, Fire, or Earth splinters to choose from, precision and synergy become paramount.
Summoner Selection: Quix, Master of Chaos
Our journey into chaos begins with the legendary summoner, Quix, a stalwart leader hailing from the Chaos Legion Core set. Renowned for his draconic prowess, Quix lends his formidable powers to our cause, dampening the ranged assaults of our adversaries while ensnaring them in the webs of time, slowing their advance and amplifying our defensive capabilities.
The Sentinel of Chaos: Chaos Agent
At the forefront of our formation stands the indomitable Chaos Agent, a common rarity but a titan in spirit. With a mere whisper of mana, Chaos Agent takes the mantle of our tank, his ethereal form adorned with Dodge, Phase, and the ominous Backfire ability. As foes assail him, their blows are met not only with evasive maneuvers but with the retribution of backfire, dealing damage in kind and turning their aggression against them.
Fungus Fiend: Guardian of Slumbering Shadows
Beside Chaos Agent stands the legendary Fungus Fiend, a harbinger of decay and deceleration. With a wave of its tendrils, Fungus Fiend enshrouds the battlefield in a miasma of lethargy, reducing the speed of our adversaries and sowing discord amidst their ranks. As a secondary bulwark against the storm, Fungus Fiend ensures that Chaos Agent remains steadfast amidst the tempest of battle.
Naga Assassin: Swift Herald of Chaos
From the depths of chaos emerges the rare Naga Assassin, a serpentine specter whose very presence quickens the pulse of our allies. With a subtle whisper, Naga Assassin bestows celerity upon our forces, ensuring that Chaos Agent dances between the raindrops of enemy assaults while our ranged attackers strike with lethal precision.
Ranged Assault: Poisoned Arrows and Corrosive Venom
In the midst of chaos, our ranged attackers lurk, their arrows and venom poised to strike with deadly accuracy. Leading the charge is Venari Seedsmith, a rare enigma from the Chaos Legion Rewards set. With each shot, Venari's arrows find their mark, poisoning our adversaries and sowing the seeds of their demise.
Toxic Arsenal: Acid Shooters and Lethal Venom
Joining Venari in our toxic arsenal are the epic Acid Shooters, their scattershot barrage piercing the veil of fog and raining down upon our foes with relentless precision. With each strike, their venom seeps into the wounds of our adversaries, weakening them from within and hastening their demise.
Arcane Sorcery: Djinn Biljka, Weaver of Shadows
Rounding out our cadre of chaos is the legendary Djinn Biljka, a master of arcane arts and harbinger of oblivion. From the shadows, Djinn Biljka weaves a tapestry of despair, casting spells of weakening upon our adversaries and ensuring that even in the darkest hour, our resolve remains unbroken.
In the crucible of battle, where chaos reigns supreme, victory belongs to those who dare to embrace its tumultuous embrace. With Quix as our guide and Chaos Agent as our shield, we march forward, relentless and unforgiving, for in chaos, there is both peril and opportunity.
The Summoner
Quix is a legendary summoner from the Chaos Legion Core set. This summoner is the best dragon summoner for small mana battles in modern outside of the Rebellion set. It nerfs ranged damage of the opposing speed and also slows opponents down which is important to increase their chances of missing on our Chaos Agent mini tank.
1st Slot - Backfire Monster
Chaos Agent is another member of the Chaos Legion core set. It is common rarity monster with no attack, but even without attack this is a must have monster for low to medium mana battles. It comes with a base speed of four, four health and Dodge, Phase and Backfire abilities. His backfire ability combined with a slow from Fungus Fiend and speedup from Naga Assassin is crucial in our play here.
2nd Slot - Secondary Meat Shield Monster
Fungus fiend is a legendary monster from the Chaos Legion core set. The main utility for Scorch fiend is a secondary meat shield for zero mana, this is a must have monster for these kinds of battles. It also comes with a slow ability that reduces the speed of all opposing team monsters. This is important as it increases the likelihood of misses against our Chaos Agent.
3rd Slot - Backfire and Boost Team Speed Ranged Attack Monster
Naga Assassin comes to us from the original Chaos Legion Rewards set. This rare monster is very important to our play as it boosts speed of the entire team that makes misses from our ranged attackers less likely and it boosts the speed of Chaos Agent so that it can score more backfires against the opposing team attackers.
4th Slot - Poison Dealing Ranged Attacker Monster
Acid Shooter is an epic rarity member of Chaos Legion Core set. This little monster costs only two mana, but for this two mana you get two ranged attack, three speed, five health points and Scattershot, Cripple and Poison abilities.
5th Slot - Ranged Damage Dealer Monster
Venari Seedsmith is another member of the original Chaos Legion Rewards set. This rare monster comes with a base speed of four, four ranged damage, four health points and very important abilities of Scavenger and Poison and all of this for only five mana. We rely on this monster to poison our enemies as well as grow in health with every dying monster as it is in the back of our lineup.
6th Slot - Magic Damage Dealer Monster
Djinn Biljka is another member of the original Chaos Legion Rewards set. This legendary monster comes with a base speed of one, three magic damage, two health points and three magic damage, two health points and camouflaged, void and weaken abilities all for only three mana.
THE BATTLE
Our opponent chose the same summoner but decided to go with a big self-healing tank upfront supported by a healer. This looks to be a classic battle of a few powerful monster versus a full team of small mana monsters.
In the first round we managed to land poison on their tank and our chaos agent scored a backfire against the tank. I would call this a pretty good start.
Second round was really good for us, we managed to take out their tank which means we are likely to win this battle!
And in round three we score a decisive win without loosing a single monster!
