Guilds, Splinterlands Account Progress and Reviewing my Last Season

in Splinterlands17 days ago

After each season in Splinterlands ends I like to look at the earnings and progress towards maxing out my reward cards and my gladiator cards. Reward cards are important, but gladiator cards are not only important for Guild Brawls and regular ranked play they are kind of like a badge of honor, they show how long and how serious you have been in the game.

I have been in Splinterlands since before the gladiator cards came out, but I spent the first few years in lower level leagues so I might not be as far along as other players. These days both of my accounts are in top level guilds with level 10 Guild Halls and very good Arena, Barracks and Store building levels. Those certainly help with earning more merits for Gladius cases to acquire more gladiator cards.

This account is in YGG Legion guild and in the current brawl we are fighting against my other guild Plan B. As you can see Plan B is currently in the first place in the tier five brawl and YGG Legion is in the third. Both are great guilds and I am honored to have the privilege to be part of both of these great guilds.

YGG Legion is a really nice laid back guild and while I am doing great in the current Brawl with a 5-0 record they don't get upset if I totally bomb the brawl with something like 1-5 record, which does happen as tier five brawls are no joke.

Plan B is a VERY competitive guild, they expect 60%+ average win rate in tier five brawls. That is for seriously competitive players and I am hanging in there since March of this year.

As you can see from the image above the average win rate for Plan B in the last ten brawls is 65% I am hanging in there in the sixth place with a 73.77% win rate.

When you are part of two top guilds you have to pay attention to make sure you don't play against yourself one of the brawl battles, when I didn't pay attention that actually happened in the past and was no fun.

Remaining Reward Cards to Max Out

My common and rare rarity regular foil cards have been long maxed out and I a managed to max out my epic rarity cards a few seasons ago as well, so the only reward cards in the current set I have not been able to max out are the legendary cards.

As you can see I have five out of twelve cards maxed out with five cards at level three and two cards at level two. I do not feel that buying legendary draws makes sense any longer, they are just too expensive and I would like to save up some glint for the new reward cards that are coming out in the near future.

Gladiator Cards

My Gladiator cards are doing fairly well, I am nine cards away from maxing out my last non maxed out common rarity card: Hugo Strongsword.

As you can see below I have all of my rare rarity Gladiator cards maxed out:

With Epic rarity cars I have have been really unlucky with one of the best Gladiator cards in the game: Quora Towershead. This was once arguably the most dominant card in the game, that time has long passed as there are a lot of as strong or stronger cards in the game now.

But for some scenarios this is still the card to play so I am really bummed that I am still nine cards away from maxing it out!

The most work to do is with my Legendary rarity cards, despite using bloodstones that double the likelihood of getting a legendary gladiator card when opening gladius chests I am still ways away from maxing these out:

Out of seven legendary gladiator cards I have maxed out four cards and Larissa Kerato and Fina Voxom are just one card away from being maxed out. And I still am two cards away from maxing out one of my favorite gladiator cards: Tatiana Blayde.

As you can see l have spent the entire last season in Wild. The reason for this is that I am trying to accumulate as much Glint tokens as possible and going into Wild league gives me that opportunity. Given the fact that my modern deck is very weak, it makes sense for me to pay two thousand DEC to play in the Wild league at this time.

I was able to achieve Wild Champion Two which is really good for my deck. Fifty one percent winning rate is just above the average which I am happy with.

As you can see outside of the Wild Pass cost, my only cost was Glint that I spent to buy merits, energy and reward chest draws. But I earned 537,664 Glint tokens and I spent 345,000 Glint tokens so I had a surplus of 192,664 Glint tokens to put towards the new reward cards.

As you can see I purchased only the first tranche of reward chests of each rarity. I continue to do that in order to get more energy, merits and in hopes of getting some legendary cards.

Once again legendary cards continue to evade me. It is important to keep consistently playing as time and attention will eventually pay off in the form of a more lucky season and I would like to be ready to keep playing at the highest levels of Splinterlands in the future.

I would also like to be ready for the coming alt season and a possibility that Splinterlands will become hot once again when the crypto gaming narrative inevitably becomes all the rage once again. Until then I will keep stacking SPS tokens and improving my deck!

If you have some staked SPS please vote for my SPS Validator Node HERE

I am also a Hive Witness and would really appreciate your vote for me as a witness: https://vote.hive.uno/@seattlea

If you wonder what is the best way to get involved you can use my link to begin your Splinterlands and HIVE journey.

to max out remaining legendaries wouldnt be better legendary draws?

It would be, but legendary draws are so expensive and you get a legendary that you don't need often, so I stopped buying those. I still like getting merits and extra energy to earn extra SPS...

Wow, you have an entire army of powerful cards. Someone recently asked me about joining a guild, but I don't know anything about it yet. But seeing your special and super powerful gray cards is making me excited to learn more about them. Can you tell me what qualifications and rank are required to become part of a guild?

There are no qualifications required for most guilds. If you have some modern cards most guilds will be happy to have you.

Thanks for sharing! - @lenonmc21
