Here is my entry for this week's Splinterlands Art Contest found

This is version 2.0 because I previously made a mischievous mermaid illustration. I don't know, I was just in a mermaid mood when I made this.

From the Splinterlands Wiki:

The female mages of the ΛZMΛRÉ Merfolk take great pleasure in the destruction their magic creates. Mermaids can often be found swimming gleefully around the edge of the Dark Water, destroying the homes of innocent Crustaceans with their plasmatic waves and laughing as they go.

These mermaids sound pretty evil, if only there was an ugly, virtuous half-octopus aquatic sorceress to fight against them by stealing their voices and giving them legs. Now there's a story!

Created in Clip Studio Paint Pro on a Surface Pro 4. After the rough draft just laid down ink with big swooping brush strokes. Then filled in the mermaid layer with a flat color and rendered her with a combination of watercolor and airbrush tools. The background was just an AI-generated image that was blurred into obscurity. Then a few brush strokes with a watery white watercolor brush to make bubbles and currents.

Youtube put an age restriction on the video, how silly of youtube. But I was able to see it by opening the video, it's great, your drawing turned out great. Great job mate

Actually, they pulled the original because the thumbnail was too revealing. I had to re-post it with a new thumbnail and it was still age-restricted, which I expected. Not my first age-restricted video on YouTube... :)
