If you hate magic attack cards then Haunted Spirit will be an excellent defense choice in the death deck, not only as a defense but also a great source of damage because it has a lot of attack.
Who is Haunted Spirit?
Haunted Spirit is a rare card from the Alpha/Beta edition that belongs to the death deck and it will be one of your best allies when your opponent has cards with magic attack because this card, in addition to having a great attack, also has perfect abilities to face magic cards .
In the image above you have an overview of the Haunted Spirit's statistics and it is possible to find this information if you go to the marketplace and filter by: Edition - Alpha or Beta / Rarity - Rare / Element - Death / Role - Monsters. After doing this you will see the Haunted Spirit card and you will only need to click on it to access the main information of the card.
In the Cards option you will find how many cards and what level you have, if you don't have any Haunted Spirit cards then nothing will appear, you will also use this option when you want to level up a card or sell/ rent her.
In the For Sale option you will find Haunted Spirit cards for sale and what price it is currently being negotiated, to buy you will need to select the card for its price and pay in DEC or credits.
Its current price is $4.66 per BCX for the Alpha edition and $3.30 for the Beta edition. Remembering that there is an advantage in both editions, in the Alpha edition you will receive a 10% bonus in the battle rewards when you use the Haunted Spirit in it and in the Beta edition you will receive a 5% bonus in the battle rewards.
In the For Rent option you will find Haunted Spirit cards for rent and their price varies a lot depending on availability and the level you rent.
An example would be the Haunted Spirit at level 1 that is possible to rent at level 1 paying 0.15~5 DEC in the Alpha edition or 0.1~5 DEC in the Beta edition, in this case it would be more advantageous to rent in the Alpha edition since the bonus you will receive will be greater.
Stats/Abilities
In the Stats option you will find the information of the image that I showed you earlier, in it you will find all the statistics of the Haunted Spirit in all its levels which in your case are 8 and also all its abilities which are Heal, Magic Reflect and Void.
The only difference between the Alpha and Beta Edition Haunted Spirit is the bonus, its stats remain the same so there will be no difference in its usefulness in battle.
His attack is melee type and as you can see in the image he has 2 strong points which is his attack being high and his health too, mainly at high levels, but on the other hand his speed is not very high so he won't be the type card will attack first in battle. In addition, he has 3 abilities that are Heal, Magic Reflect and Void, each one of them will be very useful in battle, especially if your opponent has cards with a magic attack, but to better understand I will explain how they work.
Enable Level 1 (Heal)
The Heal ability will be a way for the Haunted Spirit to last longer in battle as this ability will restore 1/3 of his maximum life per round and this helps a lot in a battle as your opponent's cards will have more difficulty defeating- it.
Enable Level 4 (Magic Reflect)
The Magic Reflect ability is an additional way for the Haunted Spirit to deal damage as this ability will make an enemy card with a magic attack receive part of the damage dealt back to it when attacking the Haunted Spirit.
Enable Level 7 (Void)
The Void ability will reduce the magic damage done to Haunted Spirit by half and this is yet another way for Haunted Spirit to be an excellent card when your opponent has many cards with magic attack in battle.
His abilities are great and even if they are better when your opponent has cards with magic attack in battle, he will also be a great choice if he doesn't because his attack is high, his life is high too, his mana cost is not high and his ability is high. Heal will help a lot.
As it is an old edition card its value can be very high, especially if you want to evolve it to the maximum level but you always have the option of renting the card which will be much cheaper so using it or not will depend only on you and remembering that it can only be played in wild format.
LORE
Many Dark Eternals by their third or fourth form take on a more ethereal and energetic existence. Their souls are beginning to merge with the Dark Reality. These Haunted Spirits are able to attack the living with blunt force and heal themselves with ease.
I think that the haunted spirit is probably one of the cards that I had played most in my whole splinterlands career. Now I tend to use rather Lord of Darkness as a tank. Great post!
