Good explanation on the pros and cons of the pre-general sale. I'm not too upset about it, as long as there are still plenty of packs available after all the big guilds and pools get theirs. I suppose if I had been selling all my vouchers to raise money to buy more packs in the general sale I might feel differently, but I didn't.

I think this is another decision that will box out and prevent new and smaller players like myself from really getting into the game. The packs are going to sell out, and I'm guessing very quickly. So why not give all players, most of whom are willing to pay retail price, a chance to get in on the action. I think letting newer players get a taste for building a deck of their own will go a longer way to gaining long term loyalty, rather than make them rent to success with cards that only temporary.
I'm hoping I'm wrong though. I'm hoping the packs don't sellout immediately and I have a chance to pick up a few packs and not pay an exorbitant mark up. We'll see soon enough.

Glad you're covering both the presale and general sale updates. The thing about the general sale is, lots of people thought they'd sell out same day anyway. By the time the final phase of general sale happens, the percentage of accounts that had access to $2 Untamed Packs will be very low, I think it's about 2% of accounts at the moment and that number is only going to get lower. Not all accounts are owned by a unique human, but the demand will definitely be 10 times the demand for Untamed packs.
Guild or without guild, those packs will get sold out. We have to wait and see. Do note that this is 15m supply over 2 usd per pack. I just hope those guild are here for playing and not only for investing or screwing the players.

I understand aggroed's point of view and was never really against it. Especially since his current projections are for about 2mil in those sales and not the whole 12mil that will be allocated to the general sale. I've been making plans accordingly.
I personally don't like the idea of joining a pool because I'd have to relinquish airdrop chances to someone else and the current choices for remedy is either over pay or take value of. I don't want either, I want airdropped cards. That's just me and the way I think about it though.

I'm glad the guilds will be taking part in the public sale and am very curious as to how quickly it will sell and if SPS / Voucher prices will go up even more with players trying to get as many packs as possible before the general sale. SPS demand seems to be dropping though as I think the bigger players have the packs that they need now and are selling their SPS which is nice if you are looking to buy some SPS.

i did the pool think with marcus too - all went very smooth and got all my cards + bonus packs
and the caad tokens seem to be pretty spendy at the moment ;)
