Hyped for the New Reward Set

It's been a while since my last post on Hive. But I'm still active with Splinterlands playing in the Wild league. I've been using the Archmage bot on my account before but I've decided recently to play once again manually. I think I have forgotten the joy of winning battles and playing has made me realize that.

And Christmas for Splinterlands players is the release of a new card set. With the incoming new reward cards, I'm so excited to see what the new units are and how they can potentially shift the meta, even though I am playing in Wild. I'm hoping to see archons in there but it's highly likely that those would be included in the Conclave Arcana mini set that's coming in the end of the year.

And with that, I may activate a few alt accounts I own and grind my own into the new set. The cool thing about this is that gold and black foil versions would be unbound and selleable right away, making Splinterlands a true play-to-earn once again, where efforts could potentially be rewarded. I also hope that this would reinvigorate the card and SPS rental economy, and attract old and new players as well.

SPS DAO-BTC Donation

In my last post talking about a Bitcoin backed SPS, I've mentioned that I would give 20% of the HBD revenue from the post as SWAP.BTC and send it to the DAO fund. I received 1.68 HBD from that post and I went ahead and bought 0.000003 BTC.

The sps.dao account now holds 0.000004 BTC. This is just a small amount but I do hope that we would soon have a proposal to have a sizeable amount of BTC backing the SPS token just like how money used to be backed by gold. For the meantime, I'll get the ball rolling and I'm pledging to donate 10% of all my future Hive post revenues as BTC for the DAO, including this one.
