Hello everyone, Hive friends and the Splinterlands community. I'm @suisver and I'm bringing you a new post for the channel. This time, I'm participating for the first time in the Splinterlands Art Contest. Yes, I'm joining friends with a piece of my own creation and materials from my siblings.
This will be the first piece I make to publish on Hive and participate in this contest. I tried to do my best; my little brother helped me a little, and then I gained more confidence.
I used the character Dire Bear, the great, terrible bear of Darkwood. This giant has fought with me in many battles and defended me very well, so this will be my first piece of art for Splinterlands. It's a fearsome card with amazing power. Never get close to a bear, especially Dire Bear, because it's always very hungry and will probably devour you. It's not a good idea to get too close to it. He's an ideal teammate for winning many battles in Splinterlands.
The drawing I used as a reference was on my brother's cell phone, as he was helping me. He's also learning, but with moldable foam. I prefer modeling clay because it feels firmer and more durable.
These are the materials I used: a squared notebook, pencil, eraser, sharpener, green paint, white, blue, and black modeling clay, and some small plastic spatulas to make the outlines of the drawing and the divisions. These paddles are very helpful when shaping the figure, as it's difficult to do with your fingers.
These are the steps:
1- I made a rough sketch of the drawing to guide me in placing the clay inside the edges.
2- Then I started filling in the inside of the drawing, gradually adding its parts: the head, arms, ears, eyes, mouth, and teeth. All done step by step, delicately, and with a lot of patience.
With the white clay, I'm going to start making the eyes and the shape of the mouth and teeth. It requires a lot of concentration because they are very small parts and you need to dedicate more time to them.
I start working with the white clay. The eyes were very easy, just two small balls and that's it, but the mouth and fangs were a little more difficult, but I managed to do it in the end with a lot of patience. It's my first time working with clay, and I found it difficult to work with the small parts. My lack of practice didn't help much, but I kept trying until I got it right.
3- Then I started making some kind of shadows using the blue modeling clay to make it look similar to the original bear. I didn't intend for it to look the same, but I did intend for it to have a similarity.
It took me a while to make the fangs and the shape of the mouth, but for my first time, it turned out almost right.
Now I'm continuing with a green frame to give the impression that it's coming out of the forest and looks even more fearsome and ferocious.

Utilicé el personaje Dire Bear El gran oso terrible de Darkwood, este gigante ha librado conmigo muchas batallas y me ha defendido muy bien por eso será mi primera obra de arte para Splinterlands. Es una carta temible de un poder asombroso. Nunca te le acerques a un oso y menos a Dire BearDire porque siempre tiene mucha hambre y probablemente te devorará. No es buena idea acercarsele más de lo debido. Es un compañero de equipo ideal para ganar muchas batallas en Splinterlands.
El dibujo que utilicé como referencia lo tenía en el celular de mi hermano quien me estaba ayudando, el también esta aprendiendo pero con foami moldeable, a mí me gusta más la plastilina porque la siento como más firme y resistente.
Estos son los matriales que utilicé: un cuaderno cuadricúlado, lápiz, borrador, sacapuntas, color verde, plastilina color blanco, azul y negro y unas palas pequeñas plásticas para hacer los contornos del dibujo y las divisiones. Estas palas ayudan mucho a la hora de darle forma a la figura porque con los dedos se hace difícil.
Estos son los pasos:
1- Hice un boceto del dibujo para guiarme para colocar la plastilina dentro de los bordes.
2- Luego empecé a rellenar por dentro del dibujo y fui haciendo una a una sus partes, la cabeza, los brazos, las orejas, los ojos, la boca y los dientes. Todo paso a paso y con delicadeza y mucha paciencia.
Con la plastilina blanca voy a empezar a hacer los ojos y la forma de la boca y los dientes. Requiere mucha concentración porque son partes muy pequeñas y es necesario dedicarles más tiempo.
Empiezo a trabajar con la plastilina blanca. Los ojos fue muy fácil, solo dos bolas pequeñas y listo, pero la boca y los colmillos si me costó un poco más, pero lo hice al final con mucha paciencia, es la primera vez que trabajo con plastilina, se me hacía difícil trabajar con las partes pequeñas. Mi falta de práctica no me ayudaba mucho, pero seguía intentandolo hasta que lo conseguía.
3- Luego empecé a hacerle como una especie de sombras utilizando la plastilina de color azul para hacerlo parecido al oso original. No pretendía que quedara igual pero si que tuviera una similitud.
Me costó mucho hacerle los colmillos y la forma de la boca, pero para ser mi primera vez me quedó casi bien.
Ahora continúo haciendole un marco verde para que de la sensación de que viene saliendo del bosque y parezca aún más temible y feroz.

Por supuesto, espero seguir participando en otros concursos de Splinterlands e ir aprendiendo y mejorando esta forma de hacer arte con plastilina. Es entretenido y otra forma de pasar el tiempo, además es una actividad que te ayuda a conocer más los personajes del juego y familiarizarte con sus habilidades y destrezas.
