Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.
I hope everyone of you is having a great time in the Splinterlands with much more fun with new cards and new strategies. The Splinterlands is becoming more exciting as new abilities are coming to the Splinterverse regularly. As my participation in the "Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Hidden Gems!" in this post, I am going to talk about a hidden gem in the Splinterlands that has a very rare ability that has surprised me in some battles with a specific combo of cards. The card that I am going to discuss about the Virid Venomancer, which has some strategic abilities to win a battle by using the amazing ability of Shield Ward ability. I hope it will give you new insights for using this amazing ability more effectively to make your Splinterlands journey more engaging and more interesting.
The Virid Venomancer is a monster from the Splinterlands from the common category, which is not so common in battles in my experience to its different kind of ability that I have used. Silverleaf Mage is the second monster that I have used is from the rare category and it is a high MANA monster so most of the time it works out for the high mana matches or moderate high mana matches.
Virid Venomancer is a 5 MANA monster with 2 magic attacks and it is a common card that makes it a very affordable card to level it up. But unfortunately the first 2 level of this card has no ability and so it is not worth using it until this card is levelled up to the level 3. Further more this amazing supportive card has both good number of health and has some armors at every level of this card.
The reason behind my choice of this card is the first ability of this card. This amazing ability is the Shield Ward which allows this card to help it's adjacent monster with providing the amazing ability of SHIELD. With this shield ability this card allows to have half of the damages from the attacking monster with melee and range attacks.
The other abilities are the POISON and IMPEDE which are activated at the level 5 and at the max level at 10. With the poison ability it harms the target monster internally until it dies as it gets two damages every round when it is attacked by the monster with poison ability. So, poison ability is a dangerous one for any monster.
The third ability is the IMPEDE which is also a good ability that reduces the target enemy by 1. So, it works to make the enemy monster to loose speed at every attacks to the target monster. It can makes any batle a dominating one with the decrement of the speed of the enemy monster.
The Virid Venomancer is tied up with Silverleaf Mage to make it a great card having the SHILED ability with its existing TAUNT ability that allows it to gets all the range and magic attacks until it dies. SO, it becomes very powerful strategy that makes a great impact on the battles. So, I use this two cards for building my different startegy with this different Splinterlands gem which is hidden in the game.
