Hello, my lovely friends in the Splinterverse.
I hope everyone of you is having a great time in the Splinterlands with much more fun with new cards and new strategies. The Splinterlands is becoming more exciting as new abilities are coming to the Splinterverse regularly. As my participation in the "Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Battlefield Breakthroughs!" in this post, I am going to talk about the great ability of FLANK which is a strategical ability to do battles with multiple TANKS without having the REACH ability that is necessary to make the 2nd position to work as a TANK in a battle. I hope it will give you a new insights for using those monsters having the Flank abilities more effectively.
Often we have some powerful Tanks which are not so strong in terms of health, armors, Strength or sometimes get double damage, or no shiels against the magic attacks but have powerful attacking abilities which is very useful to win a battle. So, using the monster with Flank ability can be a great strategy to utlize those monster in the second position without having the REACH ability that allows second melee attacker to attack the primary TANK of the enemy team. And, such this strategy is a good way to have a great impact on the enemy team and win the battle.
First, let's know about the amazing ability of the FLANK which is not a ability that allow anything to do better in the battles itself. But is offers the second monster next to it to have the REACH ability. With REACH ability allow the monster to attacks the enemy team from the second position having the melee attacks in the game. It makes a team with double TANKs in action with high number of melee attacks and if the second monster has the Double strike ability then friendly team will be so strong against the enemy team.
Currently, there are many cards having the FLANK ability and I often use some of them. Among all the monsters, the ANYU HUNTSWOMAN and DRYBONE MEGALODON are my top picks which I often use in my battles. Especially, I like the neutral monster ANYU HUNTSWOMAN which is one of my favorites in many battles.
ANYU HUNTSWOMAN is a great monster having the FLANK ability from the level one and it is a RARE monster from the neutral team. For being n the neutral team, this monster can be used almost in every battles so it is so useful to have in the team compare to other monsters which has a limited use scopes. Also, the number of attacks, number of hearts are amazing for this monster making it a great choice. 5 Melee attcaks at max level with 6 armors is a great benefits from this monster to have in the team.
It also gains the VOID ARMOR at the ,ax level that allows the magic attacks to damage the armors first before damaging the health first. So, this card is agreat card to have in the team with so good in the performance.
The second monster is the Drybone Megalodon which is also a RARE monster from the FIRE team. It is a great monster with a lot of hearts and also some extra armors with a solid number of MELEE attacks with a speed of 4 at the max level.
This monster has some amazing abilities too, without the only ability of FLANK including the Retaliate and the Thorns. The Retaliate allows it to counterattack the enemy when it attacks with melee attacks with the Thorns attacks, the monster will have 2 damaging melee attacks to the melee attackers.
My Recent Battles
Recently, I have fought some battles with these amazing monsters that I have won recently with this strategy that is a great way to utilize this strategy effectively.
My team won the match more easily as my first two monsters did like the TANK with more melee attacks with great impact on the enemy team. The stronger monster of the enemy team with a black foil member lost the battle with my strategy.
My second battle against the same ability of the primary tank of the enemy team was more difficult but I have won the match perfectly. But my team selection with the good cards of my team I won the match at the last.
