1Up - The Project
Besides traditional games, more and more blockchain-based Play-2-Earn games are coming onto the market and this can become a real disruption in the gaming sector: You can earn from gaming even as a non-professional, get more digital assets or NFTs little by little, lend them out and work your way up step by step. Some people already earn a considerable additional income with this. The best example is the currently best-known blockchain game Splinterlands or Axie Infinity.
The problem so far, however, is that the assets acquired in one game are completely useless in another. This is where 1Up comes in since October. The idea is to build a kind of bridge between the different platforms and blockchains. Their aim is to build a community around Play2Earn and to make digital assets more transferable and even better usable. To this end, the 1Up token was recently launched. The first step is to support contributions to PeakD or Ecency on the topic. The project is still in its infancy, but I find the basic idea totally comprehensible and very exciting!

To publicise the whole thing, a mascot was developed, a kind of mushroom like the one we know from Supermario. There it stands for an extra life.
I think it turned out really well and there are great artists who always create new graphics and artwork to express the project in an attractive and colourful way. Examples are @kayrex or @pchaz, who also created the posted picture above.
My conclusion
@jongolson, one of the most famous hivers and main sponsor of 1Up, had a very good post recently. There he summarised what it takes for successful blockchain projects: continuous development, an active community and a real use case. I think 1Up has this potential, although it is not yet equally pronounced in all areas. For this reason, I am currently accumulating 1Up tokens and think the project can really become something great!

1Up Projekt
Neben den traditionellen Spielen kommen immer mehr blockchainbasierte Play-2-Earn Spiele auf den Markt und das kann zu einer echten Disruption im Gaming Bereich werden: Man kann auch als Nicht-Profi am Spielen verdienen, bekommt nach und nach mehr digitale Assets bzw. NFTs, kann diese verleihen und sich so Schritt für Schritt nach oben arbeiten. Manche Leute verdienen damit schon ein nennenswertes Nebeneinkommen. Bestes Beispiel ist das derzeit bekannteste
Blockchain Spiel Splinterlands oder auch Axie Infinity.
Bisheriges Problem ist jedoch, dass die erworbenen Assets in einem Spiel in einem anderen völlig nutzlos sind. Hier setzt 1Up seit Oktober an. Die Idee ist, eine Art Brücke zu bauen zwischen den verschiedenen Plattformen und Blockchains. Es geht darum eine Community rund um Play2Earn aufzubauen und digitale Assets transferierbarer sowie noch besser nutzbar zu machen. Dazu wurde vor kurzem der 1Up-Token heraus gebracht. Damit sollen als ersten Schritt Beiträge in PeakD oder Ecency zum Thema unterstützt werden. Das Projekt steht noch am Anfang aber die Grundidee finde ich total nachvollziehbar und sehr spannend!

Um das Ganze bekannt zu machen wurde ein Maskottchen entwickelt, eine Art Pilz wie wir ihn zB. aus Supermario kennen. Dort steht er für ein Extra Leben.
Ich denke es ist richtig gut gelungen und es gibt tolle Künstler, die dafür immer neue Grafiken und Artwork erstellen um das Projekt attraktiv und farbenfroh auszudrücken. Beispiele sind @kayrex oder @pchaz, von dem auch das gepostete Bild oben stammt.
Mein Fazit
@jongolson, einer der bekanntesten Hiver und Hauptsponsor von 1Up, hatte vor kurzem einen sehr guten Post. Dort hat er zusammengefasst, was es für erfolgreiche Blockchain Projekte braucht: kontinuierliche Entwicklung (Development), eine aktive Community und einen wirklichen Nutzen (Use Case). Ich denke 1Up hat dieses Potential, wenngleich es noch nicht in allen Bereichen gleich stark ausgeprägt ist. Aus diesem Grund akkumuliere ich derzeit 1Up Token und denke aus dem Projekt kann echt was werden!
Was meint ihr? Habt ihr davon schon gehört und wie ist eure Einschätzung dazu?
Kann ich sehr gut verstehen! Ich stake meine 1UP auch und inzwischen ist es eine meiner größten Positionen in meinen Hive Wallets. Ich denke auch, dass 1UP ein großes Potential hat. @andy-plays
Absolutely! I am staking my 1up as well and it is one of my biggest positions in my Hive wallets. I think #oneup has a great potential!

Der verträumte 1UP Mushroom wurde übrigens nicht von @doze gezeichnet (danke für den Hinweis, ich kannte doze nicht aber habe dort ein paar coole Grafiken gefunden). Der Zeichner dieses Bildes ist @pchaz, den ich extra dafür angeheuert habe.
Es ist eine Anlehnung an die reichste Ente der Welt, die verträumt ihren Glückszehner anhimmelt (pardon, jene Ente wäre darüber empört, es ist natürlich KEIN Glückszehner, denn ihr Erfolg beruht auf harter Arbeit und Zielstrebigkeit und hat absolut gar nichts mit Glück zu tun. 😂
Da kommen bald noch weitere Kunstwerke hinzu, inspiriert von jener Ente, an denen @japex1226 und @atanvardo gerade arbeiten.
