I made it through the first week and and here are some of my thoughts.
The game is currently definitely not beginner friendly. The card sell and rent prices are quite high and win rewards in bronze league are 1 to 2 DEC. I rented out some earth cards with Mylor as summoner and it cost me around 40-50 DEC a day. If I win 15 games a day on average that is 20 to 25 DEC/day and my average daily reward was 18 DEC, so I am hardly making even. Current economics of the game reminds me of the USA printing money and in the end rich get richer.
With all that sad, I know I am only playing for a week and it is far to small sample to make any final conclusions, so don't take me to serious. It is just my first impression. We usually start all hyped up and under influence of all the promises of earning easy money, so we end up frustrated and disappointed and ready to give up. Despite all of this I decided to stick around for at least a year, especially with new card packs coming, which will hopefully give us (beginners) some opportunity.
In my first week I managed to get up to silver III and get 12 chests reward. it took me almost an hour to rent some budget gold cards to get to silver league (15.000 power), just to get three additional chests. Boy was I disappointed. I spent more DEC to rent some gold cards as there was DEC rewards in all of my chests, which was 39 DEC, 2 positions and 1 card worth 0.3 USD. More luck next time I guess.
