This week's 🌟Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge🌟 will focus on the new chapter in ranked rewards and distribution. I'll share what I love most about this rewards system and how I think it will change the ranked meta.🔥
Finally, they introduced a brand new set of 43 cards from the Conclave Arcana Reward Set. Plus, changed ways to earn, unlock, and discover the rarest cards in the game. This will mark a new era of ranked rewards and distribution. For full, in-depth details, read this official announcement post. However, they also mentioned that since this is all new, the Splinterlands team may make some changes to fix any imbalances after the first few seasons, based on the results versus the expected behaviour.
Until now, we have obtained Rebellion Cards from the Rewards Shop. But one of the main features of this new update is the introduction of the Conclave Arcana set of 43 new cards, including 12 common, 12 rare, 7 epic, and 12 legendary cards. All of these cards can be burned for Glint at the same rate as the Rebellion reward set, which is a nice thing. Additionally, rewards cards will now be tradable. This is truly a great Christmas gift. However, there is a caveat, as different foils will have different behaviours, such as:
Standard Foil cards are soulbound (account-locked) when you first receive them.
Gold & Black Foil premium versions are immediately transferable and tradable.
Also, they introduced a new system for unlocking our soulbound Standard Foil cards to make them tradable. Additionally, they've introduced a new system for unlocking our Soulbound Standard foil cards so they can be traded. This system will now use Unbinding Scrolls instead of directly burning DEC. What I found most exciting about this new Conclave Arcana Reward system was the new set of cards. I only have 1-2 Arcana cards in my deck and haven't been able to incorporate them into my decks in large numbers yet, but with this set's introduction to the reward system, I'm sure I'll be able to incorporate many of the set's super cards into my decks. The ability to make cards soulbound tradable is also nice. Although it would have been more exciting if these cards were never soulbound. So, even though now we'll have the option to make these cards tradable, but that will require an additional investment. Making the Gold and Black foil cards immediately tradable sounds impressive, but why not all the cards?
But I'm probably being a bit too greedy here, because all the changes the Splinterlands team has made to this new system are undoubtedly praiseworthy. I'm a new player here and I'm still exploring it. I've tested it dozens of times and purchased many cards with complete satisfaction, and I'm consistently doing well with them in battles. Frankly, for me and new players like me, it's more important to appreciate the new and exciting changes to the game than to criticise them. Where previously we could only earn Rebellion cards from the reward shop, we'll now also have the opportunity to earn Arcana cards, which is a good thing. In this, instead of keeping the Gold and Black Foil cards soulbound, they have been made immediately tradable. This is something to appreciate. Now, using potions will be even more exciting and with the new Arcana cards, not only pro players but also new slow-growing players will be able to make better strategies, which will bring newness and fun to the game. I think this development of Splinterlands will make the game more exciting, especially for new players and will motivate players to make better use of Glint rewards. 🔥
