Could you give me some advice as a novice player? I played in 'Wild' for the first time this season; while I really enjoyed it, I couldn't progress beyond the Gold League or earn enough Glints to help me acquire better cards.

If you collection of cards is not capable to form 3 line-ups of cards fully max out please focus on Modern format.
Your wild format game can take as far as you can, but it is better to get Modern format cards and build your collection in modern format.
Frontier and survival can help generate the resource you need to buy more assets
Stay consistent
Only explore the rental market if you have a strong strategy that need a key powerful asset available in rental.
