I explored this ability only a short while ago and have since tested it multiple times under various battle conditions; based on that very big experience, I can confidently say that it is truly an exceptional ability. Typically, abilities designed to buff cards tend to have a specific bias—for instance, the Inspire ability increases the attack power of melee cards by +1, yet the inherent chance of those attacks missing still remains. Similarly, while other cards might boost the attack power of magic attackers, Shadow Focus stands out as a unique ability of its kind, encapsulating a multitude of powers within itself. However, activating it requires that the card possessing this ability be positioned at the very end of your lineup; consequently, the card remains unable to attack until it reaches the frontline. Yet, during this interim period, the enemy is also unable to target it, as it becomes Camouflaged. These constitute the powers that Shadow Focus bestows upon the card—but the magic of the Shadow Focus does not end there.

In addition to allowing the user to camouflage themselves, this ability boosts the attack power of all allied cards in the team by +1. Furthermore—and it is worth noting—the Shadow Focus ability makes absolutely no distinction when it comes to increasing attack powers; that is to say, it makes no difference how many melee attackers, ranged attackers, or magic attackers are present in your team. Moreover, it does not even matter how many cards in your team possess more than one type of attack power. Every single type of attack power possessed by the team's cards is increased by +1. Consequently, if you happen to have cards with multiple types of attack power—as was the case in this specific battle of mine, where I included "Azr the Relentless"—their stats receive a simultaneous boost. Azr the Relentless originally possessed 2 Melee and 2 Magic attack power; however, upon the activation of Shadow Focus, these stats increased to 3 Melee and 3 Magic attack power. Similarly, the attack power of every other card in the team was also increased by +1, a benefit that extended to both the melee attackers and the magic attackers alike.

But this is not the end of the magic of the Shadow Focus ability. Furthermore, all allied cards gain the "Determined" ability; this ensures that every card becomes resolute regarding its attacks—meaning that if, for any reason, one of your cards misses an attack, it immediately performs a second, identical attack. Consequently, the likelihood of your cards' attacks missing is significantly reduced. Moreover, if you demonstrate strategic acumen in your choice of Archon, you can inflict an even more devastating impact upon your opponent. For instance, in the context of this specific battle, I selected Akane—an Archon of the Dragon Element—thereby granting her "Ambush" ability to two of my heavy magic cards. As a result, even before the battle had officially begun, the Ambush attacks executed by those two cards had already dealt substantial damage to my opponent. And you, too, would agree that building pressure on the opponent right from the start gives you an edge in the game—something that has a significant impact on the final outcome.

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
