Compared to recent times, I have opened relatively few Gladius cases simultaneously this time; I have previously opened as many as five or six at once. However, having recently seen high-level Gladiator set cards perform impressively against me, I realized I needed to accelerate the process of upgrading my own cards to higher levels. So, today I opened three Gladius cases together. Among the cards shown in the screenshot above, the most unique one for me is Quora Towershead (Human Bloodline). Players who have used or faced this card know just how formidable its battlefield performance is. Firstly, due to its varied attack types, it impacts the enemy differently; even if the opponent has armor, while 2 melee damage might be absorbed, the 2 magic attack damage hits their health directly, causing significant damage. Furthermore, its massive health pool helps it stay on the battlefield for a long time. Additionally, its healing ability constantly restores health each roundācreating a continuous cycleāmaking it extremely difficult to defeat unless the opponent launches a concentrated assault with high-attack cards. For these reasons, this card is undoubtedly my favorite.

In this next set of 6 cardsāwhich you can see in the screenshot aboveāthe showstopper is undoubtedly the Gold-foil Alva the Crusher. I currently have one copy upgraded to Level 4 and another at Level 3; I could combine the Level 3 copy with the Level 4 one to create a new Level 4 version that boasts 3 melee attack power instead of 2, making it superior to the current Level 3 copy in terms of attack power. Additionally, Chimney Wallstopāa Fire element card that is "common" yet not exactly commonāis an excellent card thanks to its "Reach" ability, which makes it easy to position in the second slot of the lineup. Finally, among the two Rare cards, Liza Fox is a favorite of mine and a fantastic ranged attacker. Since the Gladiator set consists mostly of melee cards, the pool of ranged and magic cards is quite limited; in that context, Liza Fox stands out as the leader of the set's ranged attack squad.

Finally, let's look at these three cards. One is 'Alva the Crusher' againāthough this is a standard foil copyāand since I already have the regular version upgraded to Level 4, Iām keen to see how it performs at Level 5. Then thereās 'Helmet Kharafax'; itās a non-attack card, but it can still be quite valuable because it can be equipped with a weaponāthe choice of which is up to you. Personally, Iād prefer to equip it with Magic Power. Its 'Scavenger' ability boosts its health by +1 whenever any unit is knocked out, so its low base health isn't a major issue. Plus, if itās equipped with Magic Power, thereās a better chance of triggering its 'Bloodlust' ability. So, even though it doesn't have a base attack stat, itās a solid card. Lastly, thereās another rare card, 'Palidon Rakk,' which I think is perfect for the tank position; it has decent attack power and impressive health. I already have it upgraded to Level 2, where its health is +1 higher than at Level 1. Itās a great option for the tank slotāespecially if you have a card with the 'Reach' ability to place in the second position.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!š„
