Today, I once again upgraded two of my Fire element 'Mana' cards to Level 3. I was able to do this because a recent bulk purchase of card packs yielded up to five copies of certain cards, helping me reach this milestone. While there are still many cards in my deck that haven't even reached Level 2 yet, they will gradually get upgraded over timeāthis is just the beginning. Iāve decided to play in 'Wild Mode' for the first time next season. Iām not sure what to expect there; obviously, Iāll need a variety of different cards to compete, but Iām hopeful the returns will be equally impressive, enhancing not just the fun of the game but also the in-game rewards.

The first of today's upgraded cards is the Cullborn Revenant from the Undead bloodline. It is a magic attack card that, at Level 1, possessed 2 magic attack power along with 2 health, 2 speed, 1 armor, and the 'Snipe' ability. I didn't particularly like the card at Level 1 because, while its attack power was decent, its low health meant it didn't come across as a robust unit on the battlefield; no matter how high the attack power, such fragile cards often fall victim to the enemy in the first or second round before they even get a chance to launch an attack. However, upon upgrading to Level 2, its health increased by +1 (rising from 2 to 3)āthough still quite lowāand reaching Level 3 added +1 to its speed. This improvement in speed means that, even if it remains a card likely to last only 1ā2 rounds, there is now a better chance it will be able to execute its attacks freely.

The second hero upgraded to Level 3 today is the 'Magmaforged'āa ranged attack card from the Elemental bloodline. There was no change to its attack power between Level 1 and Level 3; however, at Level 2, its speedāwhich was already goodāincreased by +1. Frankly, I would have preferred an increase in attack power, but it is what it is. Well, at Level 3, this card has undergone a unique change. Typically, Common rarity cards only see stat improvements in the early levels, with special abilities often added only near the maximum level; however, a select few cards receive amazing upgrades early on. This card is one of them, gaining the 'Pinpoint' ability at Level 3āthe first such ability among the cards in my deck. This ability ensures that attacks from allied cards possessing the 'Sneak' ability do not miss; in a way, you could say 'Pinpoint' grants 'True Strike' capability to allied 'Sneak' cards. This is superior to a mere stat boost because it empowers not just this single card, but other cards in the team as well. Between the two cards upgraded today, I prefer the 'Magmaforged' upgrade. Admittedly, its low health makes it an easy targetāa definite concernābut I will undoubtedly use it in Low Mana battles, and I am confident it will deliver an impressive performance.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!š„
