Won a Horseman Epic card!

in Splinterlands12 hours ago

Once again this season, I went shopping in my Guild Store. Shopping for Gladius Cases. Only members of guilds can shop here. Our Guild's inventory currently only consists of Gladius Cases. However, we are trying to increase our inventory, for which we will have to level up the Guild Store. Here, as far as I know, items can only be purchased with Merits, which are earned by participating in Brawls and can be bought in the Ranked Reward Shop for Glint.

This is my first purchase of the season, but I'm excited because all the Gladiator cards I've earned so far have greatly improved my strategies. These cards can primarily be used only in Guild Battles and Wild Mode. I haven't tried Wild Mode because I don't feel ready for it yet, but I'm doing well in Guild Battles, where these cards play a big role. So, in this pack, I won four common cards and one epic card, including a ranged attacker, a magic attacker, a no-attack card, and a melee attacker. These are all low-mana basic cards, but in the constantly changing climate of Splinterlands, you never know which card will be most useful. However, their default bloodlust ability is also a major factor that can't be ignored, as it gives you the power to +1 all stats after every killing blow, and there's no end to it. So, if you can protect these cards from direct enemy attacks, these cards can become your greatest warriors on the battlefield, and this is what makes these cards so unique.

In addition to these four, I also won an Epic Horseman. While this card's stats are enough to describe its power, which is undoubtedly tremendous, since I have a few other cards like this, let me explain why this Epic Horseman is unique. Generally, with level one cards, if you go for more power, you have to compromise on some other stat. For example, if the attack power is strong, the card might have very low health, making it lethal but weak. Or, if the attack power is good, the health is also good, but the speed is low, then again, you won't be able to use that card freely anywhere. Or, in another situation, I've also seen a card (for example, a melee card) come with good attack power, health, and good speed, but without any special abilities that give it the freedom to perform attacks from anywhere in the lineup, which means that under normal conditions, you can't place it anywhere other than the first position.

Now look at this card. This is a super card in terms of all of its stats; it has amazing attack power, a good amount of health and speed, as well as decent armours, and to top it all, it has the Reach ability, which gives it the freedom to perform attacks from the second position in the lineup apart from the first position. So now, depending on your strategy, you can place another big tank in front of this card, which will give it some protection so that it can continue to deliver its big and deadly attacks on the enemy.

This is just a small part of my strategy; you can certainly do better. Remember, in Splinterlands, simply having the best cards isn't enough; you need to use your ingenuity and develop strategies based on a clear understanding of the various battle conditions. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on developing better strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!
