Hello everyone, this Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is about Tutorials and Tips from the Community which is about our current knowledge of the game. You can talk about deck building, battle strategy, earning rewards, managing your collection, or navigating the game economy.
I will talk about how to rank up, giving tips on how to get cards to battle in ranked.
First to start, to have your cards would be to start in the Splinterlands Campaign this gives you the cards from the Foundations edition and also teaches new players the mechanics of the game.
By acquiring these cards, you can play Frontier Mode, as it only allows Foundations cards. To enter Modern Ranked, it's a good idea to rent cards from Peakmonster. These cards now have to be rented every season (15 days).
If it is for Bronze-Silver rank it would be to rent LVL 1 cards, there are quite a few cards but since it is Ranked Modern, only Rebellion and Conclave Arcana cards would be rented, these cards can be 1 DEC as it is per season in total it would be 15 DEC, just renting a few cards plus the Foundations cards that you will already have is more than enough to win several battles and thus try to go up in LVL.
By winning battles in Ranked Modern you earn Glint which is used to buy Rebellion Rewards cards or potions which will further increase your collection.
When you rank up you also get rewards, these chests can contain cards, potions, energy or Merits (Used for guild packs).
The higher you rank, the more rewards you can earn, and by winning several battles, you can also spend Glint to buy cards.
It would be better to buy the common and rare cards first and try to get them to MAX LVL or a high LVL since these cards are easier to buy, in my case I bought the epic cards first and most of them are already at MAX LVL and I spent a lot of Glint, my other common and rare cards are at low LVL because of this.
Although in Frontier you also earn Foundation cards, every 5 wins you earn cards and entry and you can repeat it 3 times a day, meaning you need to win 15 wins a day to be able to earn more cards, this does not share the energy of ranked.

The entry is: Every 7 days, 76 lucky battlemages will receive a Foundations card, either Black Foil, Gold Foil Arcane, or Black Foil Arcane, which is lucky to get a card with Foil, which is very valuable.
These 5 Archons are more than enough to get started in Modern Ranked, whether you own them or rent them at LVL 1, since these Archons can be used with dual elements, giving you more card options to choose from in battle.
Or there are the Arcane Conclave Archons, which are very strong but cost more (to buy or rent) since they add extra abilities if they are from the same Bloodline.
Always keep in mind the rules of combat, of which there are many:
Here are some rules of combat:

Bronze ranks only come with one combat rule; Silver ranks can come with up to two rules; and Gold ranks and above can come with up to three combat rules. The number of rules you get is random depending on your rank, with the exception of Bronze.
These combat rules are very important as they greatly affect your way of playing. There are combat rules that only allow one type of attack to be used (melee, range or magic) which reduces your options as there will only be those types of cards.
Another rule that can reflect damage, whether it's melee, ranged, or magical. Another rule is that you can use only 5 cards or 4 cards, and so there are several rules that force you to create strategies and build your team depending on what's in the combat rules.
In the Bronze-Silver ranks, for me, magic attack is the strongest, and there's an Archon that boosts magic attack. Marlai Singariel is a Foundations card; you can obtain this card by completing the Splinterlands campaign. With this card, you're more likely to win bronze through silver battles.
For Gold rank and above, there are already opponents who have cards with Void (Resist magic attack) and Silence (Reduces magic attack) which means you have to play other cards.

Final Notes:
It's always good to see other players, to see what cards they use and how their synergy works, or to see how they play with these combat rules and how they benefit from them.
Before starting a battle, look at the cards your opponent has used so that you have an advantage when choosing your cards.
It's also good to practice, there's a Practice mode which allows you to use all the cards, be it Modern or Wild, test cards and then put them to the test in ranked.
