This whole new idea of funding a new mini-set of cards through SPS DAO for community usage and adaptation is something to think about. As a community member who has been grinding here for somedays now with campaigns, battle lineups and closely watching the market, I just couldn’t help but imagine how this might turn up for both the community and the SPS DAO. This is something we could delve into over and over yet lets go through some basic concept I deem fit for the said groups especially for us players. So how about we take a look at this upcoming adventure in this weeks Splinterlands Social Media Challenge.?
The Mini-Set Dream
Going back in time, in the days of Riftwatchers, the excitements of a new set of cards, new thrills and strategies electrified the whole ecosystem. Now here comes another proposal; the DAO asking us to back up its new initiative of launching a mini-set of 43 unique cards. Fully playable on Modern and of course aligned with our own favorite Conclave Arcana Ecosystem. Couldn’t help picturing myself unboxing one of these and I know same goes for most of my other co-players : Gold Foil, The Rare and Black Foil and the most anticipated of them all - Legendary Arcana Variant. Both players and NFT Card collectors are eyeing and waiting patiently for the happening in some few months to come.
There are three different packs to Eye
- Standard Pack - Just 5000 DEC or 350 SPS( Discounted at market price), which of course I can say is just something small for everyone here unless maybe a super newbie.
- Alchemy Pack – Going for 20,000 DEC Or, 1,400 SPS, also not bad at all.
- Legendary Pack – Going in for a 25000 DEC or 1750 SPS and of course that amount means something special is involved.
The side attraction is the discounted purchase card-set at market price on SPS. Which I think will even make things much more attractive. I bet we are all stacking up some SPS for this event. And its about making SPS more valuable in the economy not just the NFT Cards collections. And I bet it happening already looking at how the price of SPS has surged over the past few days just after this announcement.
The Thrill of Mini-Card Presale
Another fun side to look at is the Presale of Mini-Cards which comes with:
- Exclusive promo cards of Legendary and A Rare.
- Arcana Variant Raffles
- Leaderboard with rewards and shiny titles
Already picturing the race: Players scrambling to grab presale packs, and trying to secure those one-of-a-kind rewards. And from what history has thought us about Splinterlands presales, we can easily draw the conclusion that this is going to be a grand battle on its own. It is not going to be a quiet affair at all.
Stacking Up SPS for the Event
Knowing very well that most of us will definitely go in with the discounted price, it will be nice if we take a look at how we could get some SPS stacked up before the day.
1. Buy on Crypto Exchanges like;

- Pancake Swap
- Centralized Exchanges Like Gate.io and MEXC
2. Earn In-Game
- You get SPS daily just by playing ranked battles
- Competing in Splinterlands tournaments
- Staking SPS to earn rewards
3. Convert via Hive Ecosystem
- Hive tokens from exchanges like Binance, Huobi, Mexc etc can be transferred to Hive wallet and converted to SPS.
- Swap Hive into SPS on Tribaldex/Hive-Engine
- Link wallet in order to send SPS into the Game
Why it matters to the Ecosystem
It’s a win-win for everybody, both the DAO’s future and the Community at large. But the part most needed is the DAO’s sustainability. This will help DAO keep a steady flow of SPS which will keep the reward pool alive for everybody to benefit from. This event is bringing in approximately a gain of over 2.5 billion DEC, 181 million SPS and that of a cool 2.5 million USD. Which of course are just numbers on paper (rough estimate). That’s our tournaments, our rewards and our ecosystem sustainability move.
Finally
Honestly, as a new player, not that new tho.lol. I am excited. As a member who cares not only about the game but the DAO’s too, I am assured of something big and fingers crossed till that day. Stronger foundation for the DAO and a more use case for SPS. Isn’t that great news?
Now, its all come down to whether the community rallies behind it or otherwise, and judging from history how the response turns out, we can see history repeating itself on December 2025. Its going to be the opening of new sets of awesome cards. Marking my calendars and so should you. Just know that by buying those packs, we are also helping strengthen the very game we love!!
