One thing I love about Splinterlands is how consistently it keep us engaged with modes, challenges and community -driven events 2/47. Just today as usual took some Frontier battles to improve my level and battle strategies. The outcome was nothing short of good. At the end of a couple of battle rounds came some cool rewards. And this is the most interesting part of it. The reward part makes the game even sweeter. Whether there is an improvement in level or not, as ar there were several number of wins, then there is some cool rewards at the end.
The reward this time round came with four (4) sets of cards. As we all know, opening of rewards always feels like unwrapping a gift, until its unwrapped, the anxiousness is very high. That spark of excitement is a different kind of feeling. Here comes what was unwrapped;
The Reward Breakdown;
Twice Yester Knight
Human Monster (7 Mana) really caught my eyes. At a Mana of 7, it is definitely a card meant for higher mana battles. It brings a god balance of Armor, Attack, and Health to make it stand out. 2 Melee damage, an Armor of 3 and 4 Health is good enough to keep it on the frontline.
These properties could really make Twice shine in a ruleset like Armored Up, for it to be used alongside an Archon that boosts Armor to keep it standing strong turning it into a true wall.
Kanaaq Miner
Globin Monster ( 5 Mana) is a monster that looks a bit smaller when comparing with the others, but cannot be underestimated on any grounds. With just 2 health but it’s ability of a Sneak is a plus. It can be used on a low Mana battle to be serving a sneak attack on the enemy from the back.
Nim Guard Captain
The Nim Guard (Rodentian – 7 Mana) comes in as a 7-Mana frontline tank, with 5 Health, 1 Melee Attack, 3 Armor, and the Rodentian flair. This monster has been on my “A List” since I joined splineterlands. This monster has the ability to stand the heat against magic attacks of 1 when placed in the frontline. Staying in the fight long enough to keep the team alive. From the Death Element, having a Void ability, that keeps it total immune to magic attack of 1 damage. And has a 50% less damage from Magic attacks.
This Monster not doubt shines pretty well in Melee Mayhem Rulesets. In such a ruleset, it will be able makde damages from different angles even in low Mana Cap battles. And with a healer or Armor repairer alongside will be an extra advantage.
Ember Roast Sow (Rare) (Suidae – 4 Mana)
On the list also is Ember Roast Sow, a fire monster with just 2 health, a speed of 2. As well, it is a 4 mana cap Monster. This card surprisingly is a Rare Monster. It so different from all the rest even though it may seem to be lacking in terms of digits (figures). Its being on the side of an Archon like Tarsha would deal a great damage.
This card feels perfect for a ruleset like Equal Opportunity. In this kind of rulesets, allows for even lower mana cards thrives.
Wrapping Up!!!
Overall, these batch of rewards turned out much better than I expected even to have a Rare Card. All the various cards have their own unique niche, strength and weakness, but altogether add value to my Splinterlands card collections. Splinterlands is all about adaptability and new cards always open doors to fresh strategies.
Free rewards on Splinterlands is always satisfying. But the sweeter part of it all is figuring out how to effectively use them in battles. This is the goal of every Splinterland Warlock. I really think and know these cards are going to play very crucial roles in my success story on Splinterlands.
Used any of these cards in your battles yet? Which one would you say is the most underrated from this bunch? And feel free to share your rewards with us...
