1. Set Small Daily Goals;
Its not only about focussing on only end of season reward as most of us may think. Whiles it may be very exciting at the very end cracking up those chests open, real progress is made one step at a time. It’s a day-by-day grind. Focusing on a manageable goal probably securing at least a chest before logging off. This is achievable and maintaining this pace could bring the expected result at the end. With this we are rest assured of something meaning to be achieved on daily basis and accumulating over a period of time will bring about the desired results. This will gradual wins keeps the motivation up and builds consistency over time.
2. Play the rulesets
It’s not always about renting the most powerful Monster cards or collecting the best Archons the real secret lies behind the strategic application of those cards in alignments with the Rulesets: How you play the ruleset. That’s what brings about the success story. The victory that is needed to be on the leaderboard. The card strength at the battle grounds depends on the Ruleset. Hence knowing this plays a crucial rule.
3. Smart Renting
Rentals of cards are good but can drain DEC OR CREDIT if not utilized well. I remember my newbie mistake of renting Chaos Legion set with the intention of playing on Modern and to my surprise it could only be used in Wild and Survival Mode. I felt like I didn’t get the best out of this decision. Picking monsters that fits ones preferred Splinters is a good strategy especially when the rented cards cover specific rulesets.
For instance, assuming a warlock likes playing Tarsa, it would be a very good idea to focus on renting cards that maximizes her synergy and ability: cards that enhances her buffs.
4. Climb early
One easy hack on Splinterlands is to push to the top in the first few days of the season. During that time, most warlocks are still experimenting, hence the competition isn’t that much. Some will still be figuring out which cards to rent. And others on other format testing the strategies out to see which works. Hence it will be very advantageous to build up to the top before serious competition sets inn. By climbing earlier, it reduces the pressure of beating the competition.
This is a balance many warlocks are can lean on for a smooth journey through this season. By adopting to this strategy, you can later on ease up and focus on farming daily chests instead of fighting for top rank. Putting a warlock in a better pool.
5. Learn from every loss
A defeat can sometimes cut deep in the throat. It hurts sometimes especially when you think you got it all figured out with the Ruleset. Even though the best of Monsters were selected for the battle. The outcome turned out to be a sting from the opponent. The truth is its nothing really. Its only a problem when no lesson is learnt in the process. A defeat is for a lesson, and should be one of the best ways to learn. Just rewatch matches and do the analysis.
Some basic things to look into in a loss;
- Was the ruleset overlocked
- Was a different counter method supposed to be used?
- And most importantly, was the Mana allocation balanced enough to have been on the upper hand?
Thinking through these questions and critically analyzing what went wrong and readjusting the strategies will not only improve the synergy but bring about lots of flawless victories.
6.Not forgetting to celebrate small wins
Every victory counts as well, including the smallest. Its not only the champions league that deserves all the attention and celebration. As far as it’s a win, it deserves the celebrations. Completing a perfect daily focus, wining a hard on ruleset, and even reaching a milestone like bronze III for the very first time. Sharing this victory through community post and how it was made possible will be a reminder that higher heights can be achieved. Cheers will definitely come from people and this will be a great motivation. With these we get to appreciate one another and encourage everyone on the blockchain.
Splinterland is not just a card game, it’s about strategy, resilience, persistence and most importantly the very warlock behind the battles. We are together going to push through the storms and celebrate small victories, building a game culture that fits and suits everyone’s taste unlike anything else on the blockchain. Everyone presence on this blockchain really matters, cus without you I wont anyone to play with.
Here’s to a season of growth, epic battles and learning from every moment. May your focus chests overflow, your rentals pay off, and your victories be sweeter than honey. Let’s go, Splinterlands Warlocks, the battlefield is waiting! 🚀
