Climbing Through Bronze: My Early Struggles and Small Wins

So, lately, I’ve been noticing some improvement in my Splinterlands gameplay, especially in the modern league When I first started, my win rate was honestly terrible I’d lose back-to-back battles and just stare at my screen wondering if I was missing something obvious. Most of my defeats came from either bad lineups or simply not understanding how certain abilities interacted and the most obvious of course is poor cards. I love playing mostly in the Modern League now, frontier is just kinda boring now, i think thats down to modern league having better cards and even though I’m still in Bronze II, I’ve managed to push up a little right to the middle of Bronze II. It’s not much compared to the pros out there, but for me, it feels like progress. Those little streaks of consecutive wins hit differently when you’ve been grinding and losing for a while and i just played 3 games and lost back to back again. The difference definitely came after I bought some common cards worth 300 glint, and I got some cool neutral cards and water element cards that actually fit well with my strategy.

It’s amazing how much one strong card can shift the outcome of a battle when used at the right time. What I haven’t really grasped though is the speed attuite, not really sure what it brings to the table. But honestly, my main challenge right now isn’t even the matches or opponents it’s that energy drain. 😩 Once your energy starts dropping, it’s like the game is telling you, “Take a break, you’ve done enough.” And as someone who’s still learning and wants to play nonstop to figure out new tactics, that can be frustrating. You get into a good rhythm, start winning, and then realize your rewards are decreasing because your energy’s too low. I get that it keeps things fair and prevents farming, but man, sometimes I just want to keep going without worrying about my energy dropping. So, I’m learning to space out my battles and let the energy recover before jumping back in. Still, I’m proud of how far I’ve come so far. From barely winning matches to now being able to hold my ground and climb a bit higher it’s definitely progress.

If you want to try out a different guild send an application here and I should be able to let you in (it's invitation only). Mostly we are looking at someone who can play silver in brawl but if you are active and respectful we should be able to accomodate you and help you learn a bit :)

ok, will do
