The knock on my door came at exactly 3:17am, just like it had for the past 5 nights. I had grown accustomed to the sound, yet it still sent shivers down my spine. It was as if someone was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't quite understand the message.
The first night, I had been startled, wondering who could be knocking on my door at that ungodly hour. But as the nights went by, I began to feel a sense of anticipation. I would lie in my bed, waiting for the knock, wondering what would happen next.
One night, I decided to answer the door since the knock became persistent for the past nights. I crept out of my bed, trying not to make a sound, I made my way to the entrance. As I opened the door, there was no one at the door but darkness.
I stood there wondering a lot of things. Could it be my imagination? I’m I dreaming? But then, I heard a faint whisper in my ear. “Follow the path.” I became frightened, I'm I dreaming? What path I'm I to follow? I asked myself in the middle of the night wondering what to do.
I closed the door and went to bed but I couldn't sleep. I lay on my bed while the words were ringing in my head for the remaining night.
The next night, the knock came again and this time I was not frightened but curious. I wanted to know what they were trying to telling me. So I went to the door and opened it and this time, I saw a figure which was not clear and it was beckoning on me to follow.
At first, I was scared but I summoned courage to follow the figure. The figure led me to an abandoned basement. There, I found a box with a note that read “The truth is hidden here.”
As I opened the box, the figure vanished, I was left alone with more questions and answers. But I was determined to uncover the truth. There was nothing in the box, it was just empty, and I wonder why it was written on it “the truth is hidden here.”
The knock on the door that came for the past 5 nights by 3:17 am came again and I followed the path, uncovering clues and solving riddles, was a journey of discovery and I was determined to see it through.
But as the nights went by, I began to realize that the journey was not about uncovering secrets but also about self-recovery. I was learning to trust my instincts, to follow my heart and to listen to my inner voice.
The mysterious knock on the door became a change for me, a reminder that life is full of mysteries waiting to be uncovered and unraveled. So I was ready to face any challenge that came my way, knowing that the truth is always hidden waiting to be uncovered.
