Alex, the father of the family, rushed toward the source of the noise. There he found his wife, Clara, paralyzed in front of an extinguished stove, staring with wide eyes at the corner where that barely visible thing was; a specter from another dimension was materializing.
After an eternity in the afterlife, it had returned to the earthly plane with all its strength restored. Its scream, an endless echo, seemed to rise from the bowels of the underworld, laden with utter agony.
The entity's cry of pain echoed throughout the house after its appearance, yet in a fleeting instant, the specter stopped screaming. It vanished into thin air, leaving only the destruction of the mirrors and an icy void.
The echo of its lament continued to resonate, like an eternal echo of what once was and would never be again.
