Yesterday, I saw this writing contest that was posted by @ecency-star days ago and when I saw the topic, it piqued my interest about this one and I want to write this to share my opinion about this topic which is about Homeschooling versus traditional schooling.

It's an interesting topic to discuss for this one because there are lots of pros and cons for each and every concept of homeschooling and traditional schooling. Either way, if you do one of that, you can learn something from that and you can apply it anywhere after you graduated from one of them.

First let's talk about homeschooling, homeschooling is basically having to learn the subjects and stuffs at home and all you need to do is sit tight, open your internet, go to the class, listen to the teacher and that's it. You can do that every day but can a student learn? Yes, they can learn if they really want to learn from the class and they are passionate enough to learn from the class.

What about the others?

There are other students that only went to the listen to the class and pretending to listen but they are doing something like playing computer game, watching videos, and other stuffs.

For the traditional schooling, I think most of the students or people can relate this one because lots of us experience this firsthand and there are lots of thing that we (as a student) can remember by having traditional schooling. The students can interact with other students, they can also talk face to face, and most especially interacting with other people is one way to socialize with other students that can bring when they grow up.

There are lots of things that you can do on tradional schooling like for example, the students can exercise, they can play together without the use of gadgets, and of course they can make friends with their classmates or to other schoolmates.

Closing Thoughts

So as for me, traditional schooling is better than homeschooling as I am one of the people that experience traditional schooling and as an online teacher. I can compare the both are good but there are effects that may affect them after that.

Tradional schooling brings you memories from the students and other people that you will encounter as you grow up older. Most of the times, these classmates or people gave us advises or tricks to make a difficult problem to an easy one just like explaining on the things that you don't understand from the lesson. As for homeschooling, the student can interact with the teacher one on one or by group in a video class but it will only limit them by talking and discussing of the lesson.

So yeah, I prefer traditional home schooling because it's better and the students can communicate with other students and they can make friends in real that may help them in the future. It's really good to have real friends that you can talk to.

🤩 !PGM

I agree. Other than the academic side of it, learning to socialize with others is an important aspect of childhood that you cannot replicate in a homeschool environment. Of course, we have to be careful that they are not negatively influenced, but interacting with other students prepares them for the real world.

Very true, yun nga lang guidance lang talaga kung ano ung nakakabuti at nakakasama. Usually, we didn't bother to check our child if he/she is okay in his/her schooling.
