Venice by numbers part 3.

IMG_20250928_120509.jpg

This time I did a bit of water and reflections of buildings. Also at first I thought that some areas are meant to be uncolored. Those areas had no numbers on either canvas or paper scheme. But after closer examination I decided that they should be black. So I colored them as well.

Very very mi è reflections, I really love this paint by number

The dreamy city of Venice is coming alive in your frame. Beautiful 😍

It looks well so far!

Will have an eye open to see how all unfold!

great call making those unnumbered spots black, it ties the whole scene together and the reflections looks stronger now :)
blank patches always make me a bit twitchy, like a total that just wont balance, so seeing them colroed in felt right.
small choices like that defnitely add depth, and you pulled it off well, realy liked how the darks guide the eye.

Thank you. I still think that it is weird that there were no numbers. But I believe it looks better with black in those areas.

Totally agree, it’s odd when the template forgets spots, but your call to fill those patches with blak really grounds the reflections and makes the flow look betetr :)
That black also helps ti;e the cool and warm zones so the eye doesn’t wander.
Sometimes the numbers lag behind what the scene actually needs.
Will you trust your eye like this in the next study too?

Will you trust your eye like this in the next study too?

Probably but I hope that next set will have all areas numbered already.

Makes sense. Even if everything's numbered, that black move kept the values tight and gave the reflections a clean edge, so keep that instinct in your pocket, not to fight the the plan but to fix gaps fast. If the numers are complete next time, great. If not, your eye already balanced it well, so dont stress :)

It is increasingly taking shape, and you can see that something very beautiful will come of it. It is definitely worth buying that to start painting.

I agree. One set costed me only about 20 eur. Considering how much fun I have with with it and how cool piece of decoration it should be it was money well spent.
