SPILL!
They stopped an entire bus of us because we as in Pura and I wouldn't buy a water off some street hustlers. Our Spanish isn't great, hers is better than mine. But they were pointing at her ring insinuating we should buy water from them but they were being antagonistic by making fun of our Spanish in the process. The bus was stopped, the whole bus was in on it, even the driver was laughing. Just the two us and about 20 of them.
I never bought their water. But I couldn't do anything and we were trapped on a bus of laughing spectators. Finally they crawled off the bus. They were all over the windows and the roof and that's how the next couple weeks was in Panama. We were supposed to be there a month. Couldn't get out of there soon enough. You're on your own down there.
geeeeeeeeeeeeez.
that's creepy
it reminds me of El Salvador... hmmmm thats freaking me out now hahahahaha
Columbia, Nicaragua, Chile, Cost Rica.....
Ditto, ditto, ditto and ditto.
well now you're just breaking my freaking heart.
hahhaha I didn't want the first three - but was looking at Costa Rica - and also at Belize too.
but Panama (after all the rave freaking reviews I've been hearing from all these ex-pats) was the front-runner. They keep talking about how nice everyone is!!!
we were looking at Boquete? its up at a higher elevation - a little more rural. but we've never been there -just doing tons of research.
but you know - i like to hear from people who have been there that i can ask!!!
so pretty much all of central america was unimpressive to you???
And South. Like I tell everyone, don't take my word for it.
We stayed in Costa Rica 5 months, up and down both coasts. When we left that country, we still had 3 weeks left in our Air BnB. Pura could not handle one more day. Me either but she had already got to the point where she wouldn't go outside to watch a sunset the last couple weeks.
Just recently one of my best friends ever got married in CR, last month actually. All my friends went. I had to explain why I won't go.
And in love weddings!
