Hello dear community of Hive, today I come to talk about one of the exponents of kinetic art in Venezuela, and that is Jesus Soto.
Jesús Rafael Soto fue un artista venezolano y uno de los máximos exponentes del arte cinético. Es junto a Carlos Cruz Diez y Alejandro Otero uno de los grandes representantes del cinetismo en Venezuela.
Jesús Rafael Soto was a Venezuelan artist and one of the greatest exponents of kinetic art. Along with Carlos Cruz Diez and Alejandro Otero, he is one of the great representatives of kinetic art in Venezuela.
Autor de monumentales instalaciones, se destacan las de los Juegos Olímpicos de Seúl 1988, la Exposición Universal de Montreal de 1967, el diseño de la Torre BBVA o la Esfera Caracas (ícono cultural de Caracas). En 1968 el gobierno francés lo distingue con la Orden de las Artes y las Letras y en 1990 la Unesco le otorga la Medalla Picasso por considerar que su obra ha servido para acercar a los países del mundo.
He is the author of monumental installations, such as those for the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, the 1967 Montreal Universal Exposition, the design of the BBVA Tower and the Caracas Sphere (a cultural icon of Caracas). In 1968 the French government awarded him the Order of Arts and Letters and in 1990 Unesco awarded him the Picasso Medal, considering that his work has served to bring the countries of the world closer together.

He also captured his art in the installations of the National Center of Social Action for Music. A mobile by Venezuelan kinetic artist Jesús Soto welcomes visitors to this 14,750-square-meter reinforced concrete building.
Aquella estructura de concreto, los músicos van y vienen. Entre los pasillos, hay un desfile constante de instrumentos. Se escuchan acordes. Se leen partituras. Se afinan cuerdas. Todo resuena en ese ambiente. De modo que se tiene la impresión de que allí sólo se respira y transpira música.
In that concrete structure, musicians come and go. Between the corridors, there is a constant parade of instruments. Chords are heard. Scores are read. Strings are tuned. Everything resonates in that environment. So that one has the impression that there is only music to breathe and transpire.
El Cnaspm promueve la integración artística, a fin de que niños y jóvenes aprendan a interactuar en el seno de las artes a través de la danza, el teatro, la ópera, el canto, la fotografía y el vídeo, como si fuera un crisol donde se encuentran y se funden todas las tendencias creativas, teniendo como hilo conductor la música.
Cnaspm promotes artistic integration, so that children and young people learn to interact within the arts through dance, theater, opera, singing, photography and video, as if it were a melting pot where all creative tendencies meet and merge, with music as the common thread.
