Les quiero compartir un poco de mi experiencia e impactado que ha tenido en mi el poder ser docente.
I want to share a bit of my experience and the impact that being a teacher has had on me.
Desde niño jamás pensé incursionar en el mundo de la música, y menos poder ser profesor, pero le doy gracias a Dios y al universo por ponerme en este camino la hermosa carrera de la música.
Mi primer acercamiento en una sala de ensayo o salo de clases fue a los 15 años, con un grupo pequeño de niños en edades comprendidas de 7 a 9 años. Fue un reto muy grande ya que podía pasar de que no me vieran con una figura de profesor. Al final de esa tarde les puedo decir que me encantó y me quedaron ganas de seguirlo haciendo.
Since I was a child, I never thought of venturing into the world of music, let alone being a teacher, but I thank God and the universe for setting my beautiful career in music on this path.
My first approach in a rehearsal room or classroom was at age 15, with a small group of children ranging in age from 7 to 9 years. It was a very big challenge since it could happen that they did not see me with a teacher figure. At the end of that afternoon I can tell you that I loved it and I wanted to continue doing it.
Seguí dando clases de violín, aprendiendo de todo, incursione en el mundo de la dirección orquestal y la cantidad de alumnos fue creciendo, hasta que me llegaron oportunidades de poder trabajar y dirigir a grupos de 400 y 500 personas, y de verdad que la experiencia ha sido extraordinaria.
Me pasó algo muy significativo en mi vida y fue el día en que un alumno me dijo que quería ser como yo cuando el creciera, y les puedo decir que me sentí orgulloso de lo que hacía.
I continued giving violin classes, learning everything, venturing into the world of orchestral conducting and the number of students grew, until I had opportunities to work and lead groups of 400 and 500 people, and truly that experience it has been extraordinary.
Something very significant happened to me in my life and it was the day a student told me that he wanted to be like me when he grew up, and I can tell you that I was proud of what he did.
Recuerden que nosotros somos ejemplo para cualquier persona y no sabemos cuándo podemos estar motivando e inspirando a otros sea en la rama que sea.
Remember that we are an example for anyone and we do not know when we can be motivating and inspiring others in whatever branch.
