Una grata e inesperada visita
Les quiero contar sobre una experiencia muy genial que vivimos en la ciudad de Caracas, fue la visita de una delegación de la embajada japonesa y quisieron visitar nuestras instalaciones y ver cómo funciona El Sistema y sus agrupaciones.
I want to tell you about a very great experience that we had in the city of Caracas, it was the visit of a delegation from the Japanese embassy and they wanted to visit our facilities and see how El Sistema and its groups work.
Recuerdo sus rostros de felicidad y asombro al ver tantos niños y niñas reunión en una sala de ensayo para ofrecerles una gran muestra del trabajo que veníamos realizando.
I remember their faces of happiness and amazement when seeing so many boys and girls meeting in a rehearsal room to offer them a great sample of the work we had been doing.
Se nos impedía un poco comunicarnos mediante palabras ya que no manejábamos su idioma y ellos el nuestro pero teníamos algo mucho mejor a nuestro favor, y era la música, apenas comenzamos ellos disfrutaron desde el inicio hasta el final.
Fue un día maravilloso, cargado de energía y emoción. Y puedo decir que todos lo disfrutamos al máximo sin importar idioma o cultura, todo fue con el fin de disfrutar y vivir una experiencia gratificante gracias a la música.
We were a bit prevented from communicating through words since we did not handle their language and they ours, but we had something much better going for us, and it was music, as soon as we started they enjoyed it from the beginning to the end.
It was a wonderful day, full of energy and excitement. And I can say that we all enjoyed it to the fullest regardless of language or culture, everything was in order to enjoy and live a rewarding experience thanks to music.
