Now, could it be assumed as true that we have had past lives? Is reincarnation really true?
Reincarnation can be defined as the process in which, at the time of death, the spirit after leaving one body can start a new life in another. This process could easily explain the fact of past lives, but ... will it have bases to support it?

Brian Weiss en su libro “Muchas Vidas Muchos Maestros” nos relata la experiencia de una joven que bajo hipnosis recordó que había vivido anteriormente, incluso, que había tenido varias vidas. Y esta no es la única fuente donde nos vamos a conseguir con tal cuestión, Richard Webster explica como recordar vidas pasadas con una serie de técnicas. Así mismo, podemos tropezarnos con personas que de alguna forma sienten haber tenido otra vida, de hecho, es común para explicar ciertas conductas o aptitudes esgrimir frases como “tiene que ser que yo en otra vida fui tal cosa”. Así vemos que el hecho de haber tenido una vida anterior es un tema bastante común.
Ahora bien, ¿podría asumirse como cierto que hayamos tenido vidas pasadas? ¿Es la reencarnación un hecho realmente cierto?
La reencarnación puede ser definida como el proceso en el que, al momento de la muerte, el espíritu después de dejar un cuerpo puede iniciar una nueva vida en otro. Este proceso podría explicar fácilmente el hecho de las vidas pasadas, pero… ¿tendrá bases que lo sostengan?

However, the Bible refers to rather curious circumstances. In the New Testament, in the book of Matthew there is narrated the case of some demonized (people who have been possessed by evil spirits) who frightened everyone who passed through the place and that Jesus freed those people from such spirits and the latter they in turn seized a herd of pigs, killing them by jumping off a cliff. In the same way, there is the case of the many demonized people who were brought before Jesus to free them from such spirits. Thus, the Bible reveals to us the possibility that the body is inhabited in addition to the soul by others or other spirits.

Pero, en la Biblia no encontramos referencia alguna a la reencarnación, por lo tanto, la posibilidad de reencarnar en otro cuerpo no existe, por el contrario, se impone el criterio de que la vida es una sola, no hay más. Sin embargo, en la Biblia se hace referencia a circunstancias bastante curiosas. En el Nuevo Testamento, en el libro de Mateo se narra el caso de unos endemoniados (personas que han sido poseídas por espíritus malignos) que espantaban a todos los que pasaban por el lugar y que Jesús libró a esas personas de tales espíritus y estos últimos se apoderaron a su vez de una manada de cerdos a los que causaron la muerte al hacer que se arrojaran desde un despeñadero. Del mismo modo está el caso de los muchos endemoniados que llevaban ante Jesus para que les librara de tales espíritus. Así pues, la Biblia nos revela la posibilidad de que el cuerpo sea habitado además del alma por otros u otros espíritus.

Por consiguiente, en el caso de los endemoniados el alma comparte el cuerpo con otros espíritus, malignos generalmente.
Así llegamos a una tesis: la posibilidad de que además del alma el cuerpo sea habitado también por otro u otros espíritus. Muchas tendencias hablan de que el individuo se conforma de espíritu, alma y cuerpo. A veces se le da mayor importancia al espíritu, otras al alma, el cuerpo es donde habitan (y es que el cuerpo no puede ser definido sino como un instrumento utilizado por nuestra esencia espiritual para poder interactuar en el mundo físico, por consiguiente, tal interacción dependerá de cuan saludable permanezca y de cuan activos estén sus sentidos y sus cualidades físicas).

De manera que la línea que separa a este espíritu de un demonio es mínima. Podría decirse también que la propia alma suele ser tentada por este espíritu para hacer cosas malas y sólo la decisión de aquella de no hacer lo malo hace que el individuo mantenga una vida no lesiva a su persona y a quienes le rodean.

Pero… ¿Qué tiene que ver todo esto con la reencarnación? Este espíritu del que hablamos comparte el cuerpo con el alma desde el mismo nacimiento y permanece con él durante toda la vida. Es una entidad que ama la vida, le apasiona todo lo terrenal y puede tener el papel preponderante en el instinto de supervivencia del ser humano. Pero este espíritu no somos nosotros, nuestra esencia es el alma, somos el alma, ella es nuestra esencia espiritual. Este espíritu es un huésped, si se quiere necesario, y que nos trasmite de forma distinta a nuestros sentidos físicos todo lo que percibimos en el mundo. Y siendo este espíritu un amante de la vida y de morar en un cuerpo físico, al momento de la muerte inmediatamente busca otro cuerpo. Por consiguiente, cuando nacemos poseemos a este huésped que ya ha compartido uno o más cuerpos en el pasado y en algunos casos logra trasmitirnos esas sensaciones vividas. De manera que quien reencarna realmente es este espíritu, no el alma.

In previous posts we have talked about how traumatic it is to divest yourself of all spiritual abilities to occupy a limited physical body. And it is that, if we analyze it carefully, life does not represent more than a slavery to which we are perfectly accustomed, working to live, the monotony of doing the same thing every day, being prone to diseases and accidents, living escaping from dangers and the risks posed by our environment or those around us (from which phrases such as "do not trust strangers" are derived), where living for more years means losing senses and physical capacities necessary to fully interact in the physical world. In this vein, coming to this world would not exactly be a prize, it is quite the opposite. The soul, our divine essence, cannot be subjected to this torture more than once. A reincarnation of the soul is not possible and would not be a welcome experience.
En post anteriores hemos hablado de lo traumático que es despojarse de todas las aptitudes espirituales para ocupar un limitado cuerpo físico. Y es que, si lo analizamos detenidamente, la vida no representa más que una esclavitud a la que estamos perfectamente acostumbrados, trabajar para vivir, la monotonía de hacer lo mismo cada día, ser propensos a enfermedades y accidentes, vivir escapando de los peligros y los riesgos que representa nuestro entorno o quienes nos rodean (de donde se derivan frases como “no confíes en extraños”), donde vivir por más años significa perder sentidos y capacidades físicas necesarias para interactuar a cabalidad en el mundo físico. En este orden de ideas, venir a este mundo no sería precisamente un premio, es más bien todo lo contrario. El alma, nuestra esencia divina no puede ser sometida a ese suplicio más que una vez. Una reencarnación del alma no es posible ni sería una experiencia bienvenida.

In conclusion, reincarnation does not exist, who reincarnates is the host spirit of our life, and as such, manages on certain occasions to transmit their own past experiences to us. Life is one and despite the reality that it represents, we must try to live it fully and if reminiscences of another past come to us, we already know why.
En conclusión, la reencarnación no existe, quien reencarna es ese espíritu huésped de nuestra vida, y como tal, logra en ciertas ocasiones transmitirnos sus propias vivencias pasadas. La vida es una sola y pese a la realidad que representa debemos intentar vivirla a plenitud y si nos llegan reminiscencias de otro pasado ya sabemos a qué se debe.
