Hallo zusammen!, pues como bien lo dice el título, este post es para presentarme ante ustedes como un nuevo Hiver. Prometo tratar de ser breve y dejar todo rastro de egocentrismo de lado, empecemos:
Mi nombre es Eduardo Jiménez, soy mexicano, nací en Ciudad Mante en el estado de Tamaulipas pero toda mi vida viví en una comunidad rural de la huasteca potosina. Mi papá es campesino, año con año se dedica a la cosecha de maíz y mi mami se dedica al hogar. Desde niño supe que la vida de campo no era lo mío (soy una de las personas más perezosas que pueden existir en el planeta tierra, y vaya que el trabajo de campo es duro), así que mi única opción viable era darle duro a la escuela. Siempre traté de sobresalir en todo lo académico para tener la oportunidad de estudiar una carrera universitaria, gané algunas becas, entré a un montón de concursos y en el año 2012 estaba por fin entrando a la carrera de medicina en la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
El año pasado terminé por fin mis estudios y decidí que el siguiente paso era buscar más allá de las fronteras mexicanas (la situación actual de México no es fácil, la inseguridad anda a tope) y me inscribí a un programa de Au Pair para poder venir a Alemania, aprender el idioma y hacer una especialidad médica aquí. Y pues nada, aquí ando, maravillándome día a día de las costumbres y los hermosos paisajes de este país que tan bonito me está tratando. Actualmente vivo en Bergisch Gladbach, una pequeña ciudad que está aproximadamente a 30 minutos de Colonia, cuido a tres niños y una de ella padece Síndrome de Down (acá entre nos, es mi consentida de los tres). Poco a poco mi alemán va mejorando y si todo sale bien en unos meses más podré estar haciendo algunas entrevistas de trabajo, así que échenme porras.
Decidí unirme a Hive para contar mis alemanadas, compartir curiosidades médicas, algunos caprichos e intereses personales, tips para viajar barato, etc... y porque siempre he tenido clavada la espinita por hacer un blog. Desde hace algún tiempo le había echado un ojo a Steemit, pero nunca me decidí y tampoco tuve el tiempo. Ahora la cosa es distinta, ya no tengo exámenes cada semana y a decir verdad cuento con mucho tiempo libre.
Espero que lo que les comparta sea de su agrado, nos seguimos leyendo pronto y me despido, no sin antes enviar un abrazo a todos mis hermanos hispanos.
Hello everyone, as the title says, this post is to introduce myself to you as a new Hiver. I promess I'll try to be brief and leave all my self-centeredness aside, let's start:
My name is Eduardo Jimenez, I am Mexican and was born in Ciudad Mante in the mexican state of Tamaulipas, but all my life lived in a little town in the Huasteca Potosina. My dad is a farmer, year after year he harvests corn, and mom is homewife. Since I was a child, I knew that the farm life was not my thing (I am one of the laziest people that can exist on planet earth, and well... being a farmer isn't easy), so my only option was being a nerd. I always tried to excel in all academics to have the opportunity to study a university career, I won some scholarships, I entered a lot of competition and, in 2012, I was finally entering a medical career at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla.
Last year I finally finished my studies and decided that the next step was to look beyond the Mexican borders (the current situation in Mexico is not easy, insecurity is the everyday thing), so I signed up for an Au Pair program to be able to come to Germany, learn the language and being a specialist here. And then here I am, marveling day by day because the German customs and the beautiful landscapes of this country that is treating me great. I currently live in Bergisch Gladbach, a small town near Cologne, I take care of three children and one of them suffers from Down Syndrome (a little secret: she is my darling one). Little by little my German is improving and if everything goes well in a few months I could be doing some job interviews, so cheer me on.
I decided to join Hive to count funny German stuff, share some medical news, and because I've always wanted to be a blogger. For some time I put an eye on Steemit, but I never tried and I didn't have the time either. Now things are different, I don't have exams every week anymore and, to be honest: I have a lot of free time. I really hope that you enjoy my content and say goodbye, not without first sending a hug to all my Hispanic brothers.
Yo nací en Venezuela, pero mi corazón es alemán. ja, ja, ja. Sé que un día la conoceré. Espero leer varias de tus alemanadas acá, mientras te sacas la espinita de tener un blog.
