The holy dead
Hello, hive friends. Has the religious world ever made you so curious? Have you ever heard of Santa Muerte? If you find Hiveblogers curious with only the name, rest assured that in this post I will tell you what you would like to know about the legend of Santa Muerte. I'm sure you will like it.
The history of the cults towards the white girl or Santa Muerte as it is better known has a long process of evolution. The death cult dates back to 1795, when locals worshiped a skeleton they called death in a small town in central Mexico, and there were testimonies that this cult has been hidden for the past two centuries.
Popular legends that were to be passed on by word of mouth indicate that this cult was born around the 1960s. In Catemaco, Veracruz, Mexico. A local is said to have seen a dead figure painted on a board from his hut. He went to ask the local priest to verify and canonize the icon, but he flatly refused, saying it was a Satanist ceremony.
Today all his worship extends throughout Mexico and Latin America, and a small part of the old continent. The Catholic Church condemns this veneration even though most followers do not pay attention to it. The holy death in Mexico is on the same level as the followers who venerate the "Virgin of Guadalupe." 'The beautiful girl' or 'The skinny girl' some believers say that, as they also say La Santa Muerte, it is common that she is also venerated to ask for justice, especially when a person lost their life at the hands of a murderer.
Contrary to what many might believe, the followers of Santa Muerte are not only criminals, drug traffickers, murderers, prostitutes or criminals of all kinds.
For many of her followers, La Santa Muerte does no harm, she is a deity that is prayed to like any other saint and even before entrusting themselves to her, some often ask God for permission, since they believe that 'The white girl 'is an ally who works and obeys his orders.
Contrary to what many might believe, the followers of Santa Muerte are not only criminals, drug traffickers, murderers, prostitutes or criminals of all kinds.
However, if the intentions of the person praying to her are not good, Santa Muerte will more than receive the favors, since she also works for Satan, in the sense that she brings souls that have done wrong and therefore belong to him.
These images symbolized the duality between the living and the dead, what we carry inside and outside, the moon and the sun. At this point we can say that it is then that a cult of death begins that extends to all corners of ancient Mexico.

The philosophy behind the cult of Santa Muerte is very simple: "Tell me when have you seen Saint Jude? And how many times have you seen Death? That is why we have to look good with her, so that she can take us in the calmest way ”.
As a cult that breaks with the margins, is accepted and enters the culture from a more open perspective, it is becoming more and more popular. In 2007, David Romo, archbishop of the Catholic Church in Tepito, notified the government to open several temples and shrines.
One of the most memorable is a 22-meter tall "white girl" statue, erected in the city of Tultitlán in Coatepec, Santa María, Mexico, on Avenida José López Portillo.
