RE: Over 350 Venezuelans earned more than the Minimum Wage blogging on Hive in October

No, I am not talking about @pettycash.
I am talking about @swc-oficial.

@hivefest received 54905 HBD to help with costs to organize our annual blockchain meetup.
@swc-oficial from 21st April until now received 43541.4 HBD, and we have two months until the end of year.

Do you think that is normal a work-out event receive almost the same founds as HiveFest?

I know that does not matter where we are from since first crypto premise is "not exist countries" and I agree that we shall not take in consideration if the user country it has hyperinflation, but I think we need to have some data related with this "investments" in marketing to have a transparent information (for example: how many people attended to the event/conference, what was the traffic on hive landing page, etc.). Otherwise, it is unclear trying to understand whether these campaigns bear fruit for our blockchain.

Yeah that's not something I know of unfortunately, I do agree though that it'd be nice with some transparency, for all proposals to be honest. Everyone's real nice when they write what they plan on doing with the funds but they quickly go quite when it's time to show what they actually did with them.

The same way, we have projects to check post plagiarism and abuse content we shall be like an audit team to this and be responsible to check if everything is being done like planned and the funds are being well-used by the projects.

This team shall be consisting of elements that are not directly related to any project submitted or even involved in the approval of projects.

That would be impossible. One, the budgets and timelines for all the projects are extremely intensive. To budgets are not just rough numbers, they are submitted and scrutinized line by line. Some times there last minute changes, such as when inflation just exploded all over the world, and vendors raise prices overnight. Organizers are working full-time on top of their regular jobs to get these plans done. Many projects get rejected and many, many budget items get modified. I can't convey the amount of work this is in one comment.

Nothing is impossible.

All companies have audited accounts. Of course, you cannot audit before the event is over, but as soon as the event is over it is possible to audit any event in relation to expenses that have to be justified with invoices.

Even last minute changes due to inflation or for any other reason it is possible to audit through the invoices this way there would be transparency on all projects and no one in the community will "doubt" due to not having enough feedback from the projects on the objectives and the that has been fulfilled.

It is not plausible to publicly share invoices and all receipts as those have personal information on them. All events are very tightly monitored. I realize your concern as we have had projects (not related to Valueplan) before with doctored receipts and other improper accounting take place. I know the cases that come to mind. What we'll do in the end of the year (a month from now) is we'll have our annual report out and present a cyclical feedback model for the project. Realistic KPIs are still being drafted as the type of opportunities that we expected vs the type of opportunities that we received did not match up. For example, we thought a lot of people would simply join Hive. That didn't happen. Instead, we got more and more companies that are opting to either accept payment in HIVE or explore how Hive can be used in relation to traditional merchandise sales.

It is not plausible to publicly share invoices and all receipts as those have personal information on them.

The personal invoices details will never be publicly shared with everyone. The audit team will have access to the invoices and creates an Excel or other thing where we write the invoice purpose and the cost without personal information.

In the end, this will bring more transparency for all projects that are raising funds through @valueplpan.

Each event will be audited at the end and the conclusions will share with the entire community and this way everyone knows where are the community funds to be used and what were archived.

Instead, we got more and more companies that are opting to either accept payment in HIVE or explore how Hive can be used in relation to traditional merchandise sales.

This it is something that will be interested to have more detailed information frequently because as you said many people think events/conference/marketing will bring more users and in this case we are having other benefit and no one outside Venezuela knows it. But, we cannot only write that the xxx story started to accept Hive/HBD directly payments because we can write/say things that are not true and only people from that city can really check.

It is necessary to have proofs like a txn to that store and making a video or something validating it.

we thought a lot of people would simply join Hive

Any numbers from new onboarding from Venezuela last 3 month, do you have an idea?

Let's save this discussion for after the annual report.

Regarding onboarding I'd have to tabulate account request lists and things like that to get exact numbers. Manuel keeps them for SWC so he can post his (onboarding athletes, highly selective). I'd have to check who else does niche onboarding sufficiently to keep stats but I can only think of a few others I'd have to check with so far.

SWC is a series of events that are only held at highly affluent places in Venezuela. The locations are very selective. The audience are the 1% of Venezuelans or tourists. The cost is about $5,000 per event which is just the cost of logistics for the most part (there are dozens of people involved in each). The events are multi-day because of the set-up and tear-down required. The costs in those locations, because they are high-end, is on par with costs anywhere else in the world. We have gained significant interest in Hive from local government and businesses in relation to these.

We return to the issue of transparency of project objectives because the project account has not made a single post since the 24th of August to explain the events held and what were the gains of the same. However, it continues to receive the HBD anyway and the community has not known what has been going on in this project for over 3 months.

If it has attracted the attention of local government and local businesses, isn't there a single local media article on the subject?

The transparency/feedback of these “investments” should be mandatory, in the same way that Ghana Wells through @mcsamm publishes whenever a new drinking water pump is implemented or has its project defined.

@manuelramos can you put up some pics from Twitter?

Ok.

Ok. Rest assured that in a couple of minutes I will share a series of photographs of the various activities that we, the Venezuelan youth who live within the HIVE ecosystem, are carrying out.

I saw this publication, honestly I haven't had time to stop and reply to this very interesting publication. SWC is proof that HIVE is a space where a great diversity of initiatives can be developed.

@guiltyparties has been the main responsible for HIVE getting the momentum and the boom it is getting at the moment. This goes beyond money and the capitalisation of financial resources, we are already on another level and I am fully confident that in the very near future money (funding) will be the least of the problems to drive projects within the HIVE Blockchain and its beautiful dynamic and diverse Community.

I don't have instagram account and since this is a Hive project I was hoping to have some regular updates published on our blockchain.

I have already check @manuelramos reply posting some pictures about the events. However, I am really missing some more concrete data about events expectations vs goals reached.
