The Hive price should be much higher to make it worth to convert it to Hive Dollars (HBD). At lower Hive prices it is much better to convert Hive Dollars (HBD) to Hive. At least this is what I heard from experienced investors.
The math on whether or not it's worth converting Hive to HBD is almost entirely dependent on the price of HBD and almost entirely independent of the price of Hive.
As an aside, my comment was talking about the stabilizer, which has different math due to DHF instant conversions.
