Some interesting mechanics at play in the delegations to / from accounts. It seems that delegation flows to the whales, and up to the dolphins and other groupings.
I wonder why people are so keen to delegate away their influence / voting power on hive?
I know they can get revenue from delegation to "curation" services but why don't more people curate content on their own?
There are several reasons to delegate your influence or voting power rather than curate content yourself. Delegating Hive Power to curation services or other accounts can provide a passive income stream. Many users may not have the time to actively curate content. Some users delegate their Hive Power to support projects or communities they believe in.
