Hi @steevc! Yes I agree. I don't begrudge people withdrawing Hive to live on. After all, if we weren't staking our earnings on Hive with a mind to one day make a profit, then Hive would just be an extremely expensive subscription service! I do disagree with those who think it's bad form for individuals to power down - though from a big-picture point of view I'd hope that en masse there's more powering up than powering down.
As you say, we'll just have to keep plugging away, and also hope that either some big hitters onboard, or that some killer apps/games choose this platform in the coming months :)
We need some balance of investors and general users to make it work. There are people who have kept a large stake in it for years through the ups and downs, but others really need any money they can get.
There are encouraging signs. We have this guy telling thousands of followers about Hive.
