While talking with edicted, I remembered something from your KE ratio post. That Curation accounts are supposed to be high KE.
But this introduces a flaw to the KE ratio, it also lowers the KE ratio of the accounts that get paid this way. Since they never receive curation rewards, that payment they receive from the curation account and power-up behaves as if it came from the outside artificially lowering the KE ratio.
It’s a feature, NOT a flaw.
It doesn’t look like a feature to me, if this KE ratio is supposed to tell us who is removing value from the chain at a first glance.
I can open a account, put x hive and delegate to a curation account and my KE will never be affected. Sitting at 1 KE while raking in the rewards. But someone who does the curation themselves and decides to powerdown, their KE will be negatively affected.
How is this a feature again? If anyone can game the metric this way, then showing it anywhere means nothing at all.
